My original handle was cheap plastic which broke and sent the cable retainer somewhere into the chair. This replacement was almost a perfect fit, just a tad bit smaller in width than original but I don’t care. I can put my feet up again, that’s more important to me than the slight cosmetic difference. It was easy to install EXCEPT for the plastic clip that snaps into the chair mechanism. I couldn’t get it into place no matter what I used to clamp it. I think it is thicker than my original. As I sat there fed up & sharp pains in my fingers and hand starting (RA) a bell went off in my head. The original cable from my original lever wasn’t broke so I decided to try and use that in the new part since I knew that plastic clip would fit and it did. The replacement should have taken 5 minutes if that if it wasn’t for the clip not fitting. Great sturdy, affordable product and I have my recliner back! Shipping was fast- ordered on Saturday and delivered on Monday! I’m a 62 year old female, if I can do it-so can you! My chair still has a lot of life left in it only being 5 years old, glad I researched the problem and found this part.

This product was EXACTLY what we needed!! One of our recliner latches broke on our couch and it ruined our night trying to re-assemble the old plastic latch. When we the latches, 2-3 days later, it was a dream come true! It fit PERFECTLY just like the dimensions in the pictures!! This product is made of metal and it feels like it'll last much longer than the plastic latch that came with the sofa! This product fit my loveseat pretty well. Fairly easy to install and worked great…for 15 months. Wish I would have gotten a little more time out of it. Overall probably worth the money but maybe not quite sturdy enough.

My 3 year old couch recliner pull broke and I’m not hard on it at all. So I bought this to replace it. It was super easy to install, but did not come with instructions. It did come with a piece I didn’t need with did throw me off a little. I did not have to tip my couch over or anything. Just pulled foot rest out and I’m not sure I really needed to do that. It was so simple I have forgotten already. I for some reason thought this was textured like the ones that are on my furniture but they aren’t. How I have my furniture set you can’t see it so I don’t think it makes a difference. It is metal and feels MUCH sturdier than the original which feel like plastic.

This completely fixed my recliner. The plastic tip had broken on my old handle. I did not have to use the line attached. It fit my line already on the recliner which was unbroken. I can see how the line might give out so I have that spare part if I need it. This handle had holes in two places for screwing into the chair. Sides and bottom. I only needed the sides for my chair. This is an oval handle. Measure...be sure of size though I think oval is oval and round is round. The lever is made of plastic. I have seen some made of metal. If it breaks again, well, it was darned easy to fix. Just had to thread the line in my chair into the handle part since my line was not broken. It took a little patience to get it threaded. I hope your problem is as easy peasy as mine. I honestly wished I had taken a picture of the way my old handle was threaded before I disconnected the line. I'm an old guy and do not readily think of things like that. But, patience and a little logic prevailed.

Why in the world do furniture manufacturers put plastic latches on couches that are so stinking expensive?! One of the plastic latches on our couch broke completely in half about a year ago which rendered it inoperable. So, we had only been able to use one of the reclining sides of the couch that we spent so much money to purchase. We had considered calling the furniture company to schedule a repair but did not want to pay the outlandish price tag that would accompany that. Thankfully, I happened upon this product on Amazon! What a steal, 2 replacement latches made of metal, not plastic. I wasn't completely sure they would fit our couch, but figured for the cost it was worth the risk, and if not Amazon has an easy return process. The repair literally took less than 5 minutes and now it works like new! Actually better than new because the metal latches shouldn't break! Thank you for offering this product!!
