I give this yoyo an overall 5 star as a very affordable, well made and durable beginner yoyo and beyond. I still consider myself a beginner, but have been yoyoing off and on since the 90's. As now a senior citizen, teaching my grandchildren the basics, I have come back into the world of yoyoing and a bit overwhelmed how much yoyos have changed and the variety of yoyos on the market. And so after recently purchasing a few modern ballbearing responsive yoyos, in order to advance in learning new tricks, I have to say that this K2 Plus by MagicYoYo is by far my favorite! In comparing it to the ones I have purchased, The Fizz, The Spinstar, The One, The F.A.S.T. 201, The Sage, as well as MagicYoYo T7 and K1, this one has taken me the farthest in learning more difficult string tricks. I have been trying to master the Man on The Trapeze as well as the Brain Twister for about a month now with these other yoyos, to no success, however, in just 1 day of practicing with the K2 Plus, I am amazed how much better I can do these tricks. For one thing, the spin time is fantastic, the weight feels so balanced and unlike beginner yoyos like the Fizz, Spinstar and F.A.S.T. 201, it doesn't return so quickly with a tiny bit of tug, it allows you to be more in control. And to top it off, it's a beautiful yoyo! I got the green which is see through crystal plastic and more like a blue/green. I am not ready to graduate to unresponsive yet, however, this K2 Plus, comes with the conversion kit (bearing and tool) to convert it to an unresponsive yoyo, so you have the best of both worlds. It's not a great yoyo for looping, but that's not what this type of yoyo is for, it's for string tricks. If you're looking for an all around beginner yoyo, thats good at learning loops too, then I would recommend, The Spinstar, The Fizz, The F.A.S.T. 201 or if you want a decent responsive all around beginner metal yoyo, go with MagicYoYo T7. This K2 Plus yoyo is also very smooth, hardly any wable for a plastic yoyo, as well as very quiet. For $12.55 and a 10% coupon to clip, you cannot go wrong with this K2 Plus yoyo by MagicYoYo, whether you are a beginner or a more advanced player!

My son absolutely loved it he said it’s fun and easy to use for beginners. It’s very durable and he loves how you can make it sleep or unresponsive and he can balance it and do all kinds of fun tricks. Comes with different strings and case.

I've only used it as a responsive yo-yo, and I love the thing. I get so many people complimenting it, and watching me. I am know as the yo-yo man. The size feels great in my hand. It sleeps better than a lot of the yo-yos I used to get back in the day, and still responsive enough to return back. I like that the design including both setups, but I just prefer responsive. Would be a great starter yo-yo for kids wanting to get into the hobby, as it gives them option to find whats fun for them. Especially, because of the easy of use with being responsive. Plus the extra strings included, and case.

Great beginner to intermediate yo-yo! You will probably need to adjust the string length to make it shorter because it’s pretty long to start with. It does exactly what it’s meant to do. I would highly recommend!
