Keeps the pigeons away!
Absolutely perfect feeder. It’s completely stopped the pigeons from bullying the smaller birds and hogging all the food like they did at our old feeder. Now the cardinals and orioles can eat in peace—and they clearly love it. We bought it specifically to solve the pigeon problem, and we couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

Keeps squirrels out, good for small birds
Great midsize feeder that is easy to fill. The small birds like finches love it. However, slightly larger birds, like cardinals, do not use it.

Disappointed squirrels
Birds love it, squirrels don't. Plus we are entertained by the gyrations & contortions of the squirrels as their futile efforts to enter the cage & damage the metal portals. The stylish feeder is also appreciated.

The songbirds tell me it's worth the price.
Near $40 for a bird feeder is more than I prefer to spend but I wanted to add one that could allow the small song birds to feed while keeping the larger jays and grackles and such out. I figured if this didn't work as advertised, I could return it. I was pleasantly surprised to find this works wonderfully. The small birds get in but nothing else does, not even the squirrels. As for function, it's cleans up easily because the grate lifts right off. The seed doesn't get wet but I use a baffle, so that probably helps a fair bit. the grate, base and lid are all metal so I expect this feeder will hold up well and justify it's price. No assembly was required, and it went right in a tree the first day.

Not Pigeon Proof
The feeder did not prevent the pigeons from stealing the food. If the cage was an inch larger in diameter, i.e. farther from the food, the pigeons might have given up since they would not be able to feed. The feeder is well built, but doesn't meet my requirements.

Great feeder!
Love this feeder! Easy to fill and it keeps the doves and pigeons from draining it in one day. The finches found it in about 10 minutes after I hung it up.

A perfect bird feeder if you are feeding squirrels and Pigeons
I really like the looks of this feeder. It is the perfect size and it is almost perfect in every way. However, it is advertised to be pigeon and squirrel proof. It is neither.
