Quality
This rake I was skeptical about but has proven to be super high quality. The performance is phenomenal due to the angle it naturally rests at. This allows it to not grab to hard but enough to get the job down. The hardware was easy to assemble to get this up and running quickly. I think for the money it is well worth it especially if you don't have a super large yard to do then you don't need a power tool option. This is easy to clean just used my blower to knock off any remaining dead grass prior to storing in garage.

Be ready to sweat!!!!
It works, rake itself is strong, easy to assemble, de-thaches nice. Just a few things it needs a non-slip grabber in the middle of the handle, and unscrews at the assembly while you work, the handle in particular. Dethatching is tough.overall good price for an item. I recommend

Dethatching Lawn and Garden
Easy to assemble and took no more than a few minutes. The handle is more sturdy than I thought it would be as it is uses plastic ends in the handle sections. All things considered it has a hefty weight over all. Once tightened there is no rattling or looseness. The rake head is also sturdy and allows for easy dethatching. The angle can be adjusted to fit its need.

Well made, but there is a weak link
The weak link of this rake is the connection of the handle. Yes, they design the rake so that the handle can be attached or removed for storage or adjusting the length to suit the individual. However, as well made as this rake is, the connectors are inserted with plastic thread on the male and female anchors. This poses a weak link that inevitably will loosen and the threads will come loose. This happened me on the first usage and the thread broke, rendering the entire tool unusable. This is a pity because other than this problem, it is very well made, but then this problem will very likely happen due to the force imposed on the handle while using it.

Makes Dethatching Easy
At first I was skeptical of this product since I have always used a rake or hand tool to dethatch my yard but after using it the first time I was pleasantly impressed. It does a great job getting to the dead grass underneath and makes it easy to pickup afterwards. It has 2 different blades you can use. I do recommend this product and shipping was quick. Very durable material.

thoroughly impressed with this thatch rake
This thatch rake is good quality and well made. I was worried that the long handle may be weak and bend or loosen often since it is 3 pieces that screw together but it appears to be very strong and durable. The blades and arms of the business end are thick. The supplied nuts and bolts are very good quality and assembly was very easy. Some things made in China are very good quality and this is one of them. If the long handle ever wears out, it can be replaced with a wood handle with the right tools. If you've used a thatch rake before, then you know the good it does for any lawn that needs dethatching. I think it's probably the best thing you can do for any lawn besides fertilization and aeration. You also know what a workout it can be with big and thick lawns. It will pull up embedded thatch you didn't even know you had and encourage new growth. I'm going to dethatch, then overseed and fertiize, and water in. The lawn will look great in just a few weeks when the new seed germinates and grows in. I have Bermuda grass and the landscapers keep it cut short and don't bag the clippings so I have a lot of thatch and clippings every year. This rake will take care of all of it and I will only need to use it once a year. It's design is a lot more effective than a bow rake or leaf rake for lifting thatch and debris from your lawn which can choke out your exisitng grass.

Grip is nice
Doesn’t grab that well but gets the job done. Does feel fairly comfortable in your hand so cuts down on cramping. I like that.

Did a great job with my Sir Walter lawn. Solid components and easy to assemble.

The item feels very solid and well-built, made from thick metal that gives it a sturdy, durable feel. It’s on the heavier side, but that adds to the sense that it will last for years without issue. Assembly only took a few minutes, and I was able to put it to use right away on our dormant backyard lawn. The tool works well and does exactly what it’s supposed to, though it is fairly physically demanding to use.

The rake feels sturdy and has some heft to it. I used it on the weekend and it seems to be very effective. Assembly was also easy. I would definitely recommend this affordable dethatching rake.

I purchased this thatching rake to remove algae before reseeding an old lawn with grass seed. Compared to similar but lighter models with wooden handles and thinner gauge adjustment brackets, this tool was significantly more effective. Its heavier weight from the heavier gauge metal adjusting brackets made it easier to dig into the algae without needing to apply excessive downward pressure, which was a problem with the lighter rakes. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the screw-together metal tube handle. While it may reduce packaging and shipping costs, it introduces unnecessary complexity. The screw joints are prone to loosen while in use, which could affect working efficiency. I ended up gluing the screw joins together. For a garden tool that most people would prefer to leave assembled and ready to use, a solid single-piece handle would be more practical.
