Damascus Steel Chef Knife 8 Inch, Japanese Professional 10Cr15MOV Blade with Hand Forged Hammer Pattern, Ultra Sharp Kitchen Knife with Abalone Shell Ergonomic Handle

This was my very first Santoku knife, I just had to have one for my collection in my kitchen, and the handle attracted me to this one! How gorgeous it is and fun to use as well! I did plenty of research on it prior to using this beautiful knife, as to what I can and can not do with it, it is for cutting vegetables and boneless meat as is the Nakiri, and fish, prior to using any specialty knife, I do all of my research on how to use and properly care for it so there are not surprises, I love this knife, I go back and forth between this one and my Nakiri daily. Since then, I have purchased 2 other Santoku knives in smaller sizes, I just love them all, they all have their purposes in my kitchen.

I didn't purchase because of the appearance, but it is a georgeous knife. The pictures don't do it justice.The weight and feel of the knife is perfect. You can't beat Damascus steel! It is a great addition to my culinary knife collection. I will update if I have issues with it.

Looks great and cuts great! But I doubt it's real Damascus. You don't need to oil it to prevent rust. I have a real Damascus hunting knife and it needs regular application of oil after each use to prevent rusting. But who really wants to deal with that every time you use a kitchen knife!?!

Is very beautiful life I like it it's not like the knives I use it work so it was kind of hard to use it there but it's a good home knife

Aight so I love this. Obviously, it's gorgeous and decent quality too. It's hefty, well balanced and holds an edge pretty well, I've been using it regularly for about a month and it's almost ready for it's first sharpening, it comes sharp out of the box. Speaking of boxes, the packaging is quite nice so I'd say this is a very giftable item too. At the price, it's well worth it

Happy with the look. Nice, heavy knife, which is what I wanted. Seems sturdy so far after a month of use. It wasn't super sharp brand new. I used my electric sharpener and it is now much better. Would buy a whole set of knives with this look if they weren't so darn expensive!

I had been looking at the knife for a while & had it in one of my wishlists. I got a notification that it had went on sale. When I got it, I was so excited when I opened the box. Just to be extremely disappointed and even slightly embarrassed when I went to show my coworkers my knew knife & it couldn’t even cut a tomato :/ . Luckily I know my way around a wet stone.

This product is beautiful and looks just like the picture. The problem is, the steel isn’t good. I’ve had this knife for a couple weeks and used it a hand full of times and the blade has nicks. If you are looking for something that only looks pretty but not functional, then this would work.
