Plasti Dip Black & Metalizer Rim Kit: 4 cans Black, 2 Graphite Pearl Metalizer, 1 Cangun

This actually came out a lot better than I had expected. I wanted to darken my wheels and this was the easiest and cheapest way. I’ve messed with plasti dip multiple times, and if you just follow the directions sit your cans in warm water for about 10-15 minutes, mask off everything and just take your time you’ll be golden. It’s not 100% perfect but who’s gonna really tell when your driving ?

Heated paint cans to 85F, sprayed on a non-humid day with playing card border. Only used two cans of black for 4 - 15x7 wheels and less than half of the metallizer. Looks great, washers on lug nuts did rip paint at the circumference. Will touch up later with small paintbrush. If you buy cans separately, do use the spray adapter. Made for even application.

This is a nice alternative to painting an object or vehicle. Goes on easily, easy to peel off without leaving any residue. My only complaint would be is that if you use tape to tape off a part you don't want to "dip" it will peel the the dip off when removing the tape, if you don't use tape to block anything off then it works perfectly.

Just need to take your time and do plenty of layers. This stuff lays down nice and clean, smooth and is very durable. I did black, then graphite, then glossifier. Very please and no issues with many, many washes. I highly recommend plastidip.

I used plasti dip on my rims and they look sharp. Very durable and extremely easy to apply. Easy clean up and if done correctly, you should have good results. And it does peel off pretty easy. I'll definitely be using this on my rims for the winter time. Perfect for keeping salt off the chrome.

Per the directions, I applied multiple coats to some matte plastic parts on my motorcycle. I followed all the directions and made sure the surfaces were cleaned. Despite this, the Plasti Dip coat began to peel away after just a few weeks. While the surface area was not large, and I was pleased with the initial results, I would not trust this for anything long-term. I do like the look, and I might re-apply after peeling the rest of it off, but I am disheartened at how little it lasted.

This was very easy to use and im so happy I decided to go with the kit. The first rim I over sprayed a little on my first coat. All I had to do was power wash it off and it took seconds. If you are a beginner, don’t be afraid to give it a try. Overall, the process was easy and took me pretty much all day for all 4 rims. Well worth it and way better than a boring black!

What made the whole process so much easier, was the cangun, it looks good. Hopefully it holds up, I did all four rims, I still have a can left, did about 4 coats per rim. The metalizar was a nice touch
