It's so tiny but it's perfect for crushing up my daughter's medication (she can't swallow pills yet). We didn't want to use my marble mortar and pestle (that we use for food) so we got this. It's perfect! It's worked exactly as described and how we needed it to. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

Small (perfect for crushing my cardamom seeds) and really attractive on my counter. Will buy a larger one for food if they have it in red! Stable and easy to use.

does exactly what it is meant to do, wish i would have gotten a larger one. I use it for equine meds and it's not big enough if they need more than a few pills. Doable, but bigger is better.

I bought this so I can crush up my senior dog’s medicine into his food. It’s nice and little so it sits right on the windowsill next to his medication. The quality is superb. It’s very heavy marble to get the job done quickly!

This was a beautiful set however it lasted only two days and broke as my husband was crushing his meds.

My first reaction when I got this item was surprised as to how too small it is for what I was expected. So, be ware of the size if you don't want this small. I gave 5 star as I just still use it anyway instead of returning. It is still very useful when I just needed it for small quantity. Good quality too.

I had my old mortar and pestle from Pier One for decades and my tween got a hold of it and busted my pestle up. 🤬 lol For the upgrade, I wanted bigger and better and this one delivered. I told her to stay away from it because her eyes got big as soon as we opened the box! May come back to get her a small one. 😁
