Is this a quiet printing calculator?

Yes! This is a quiet printing calculator. You cannot go wrong using any of Monroe's equipment. I've been in business for myself doing tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll services for over 25 years and I will not use any other brand calculator. This particular model is my favorite. There is one on every desk in my company.

Does this adding machine give the option to run on batteries?

No, sorry. But it is just about the best calculator/adding machine on the market!

does the monroe have a date print function?

YES, but the date feature is not "automatic". You use the Ref# key: example January 20, 2022 you simply key in 01.20.2022 then hit the "ref#" key and it hits your paper on the left side of the paper roll and does not affect the addition, subtraction or any other function.
