The Wild Robot Protects (The Wild Robot 3)

The Wild Robot series is a surefire winner with kids ages 8-12. My students (even my emerging readers and hard-to-please ones) are swept up in these stories. The characters and the writing are simply excellent. When my class emailed the author, he even replied.

This is a great book in the series. The day that the wild robot has been made into a movie (that hopefully captures the feeling of the bike) shows what an engrossing story it is. My 10 year old son loved every chapter but the story is entertaining for parents too and helps teach about the environment, families, the meaning of love and family all with a futuristic but familiar feeling.

My son loved this being read to him. Language is nicely descriptive but not flowery, so he could understand what all the words were. Great story and some nice messages in there, without pouring it on too heavily. Ordered the rest of the trilogy after reading it
