Good value for money
Strong and thin and almost invisible in the right lighting conditions, great for creating gimmicked playing cards and an assortment of other gimmicked items.

Very good for rigging WW1 planes
I am not into knitting but this was recommended by Phil Flory of Flory Models for use in rigging WW1 planes. The plane I bought this for was my first that required rigging and I was absolutely dreading it. The dread was justified but not because the of this product, it's just a really fiddly job. The elastic can be fixed to the plane using CA glue. It's a bit variable as to how well it takes - the glue slightly melts the elastic and causes it to curl a bit. The key is very much using exactly the right amount of glue - too little and it won't hold the whole thread (and you find that just a few strands stick leaving the others retracted and waving in the breeze) or too much and it takes forever to dry and you end up watching it until you go blind. Literally. So, good luck with that. The only downside to this product is that it is made up of lots of tiny strands so sometimes only a few will stick or one won't be cut properly and will get in the way when you're trying to align the end of the thread into position. The product takes paint quite well as long as it is a thin spirit-based paint - I used Color Master's steel - and although it can cause the elastic to go floppy it tightens up again when it dries and looks very good. So, I'm not sure about socks but it's pretty good for doing the steel wires on a Bristol F2b fighter.

Great value
Bought for rigging model aircraft. Very easy to handle, strong, glues easily and looks good. One of those times when YouTube reviews really prove their worth!

Knitting thread
Awesome product. Thin, almost invisible and decent elastic capabilities. The thread doesn't snap easily, and you will have to cut it to use it, but it can be kept at 90% tension without any difficulties and can easily pull paper, card and hold up trousers if need be.

GREAT SERVICE! GOOD VALUE!
Shipped quickly and great value. I bought two of them but unfortunately - I can't find the 'end' of the thread, on either reel
