Does the job but quite pricey

I used a branded descaler with my Gaggia espresso machine and after a couple of years the solenoid valve got gummed up. It turned out to be bits of corroded boiler. Fortunately Gaggia boilers are relatively cheap and easily replaced. Now I use this Gaggia descaler and everything has been working well for several years.

Its nice to have something that just works, its very effective and I use the "old" water from my coffee machine in my kettle and its descales that perfectly.

Got my machine back to working like new after a blocked solenoid valve caused flow issue at group head.

I used this descaler for the Gaggia Brera and was not disappointed. We have very hard water and I contemplated using an alternative but didn't want to damage the machine or compromise the warranty. The product doesn't have any instruction on a such to indicate how much to use. After researching, you use the whole bottle plus a top up with water to allow the full cycle to complete. A very good descaler and worth the little extra that it costs.

I recently purchased the Gaggia decalcifier to clean my espresso machine and I'm very pleased with the results. It's easy to use and it helps maintain my machine so that I can always get the best taste and aroma from my espresso. It's great that it removes limescale residues that would otherwise absorb heat from the boiler and affect the temperature of my espresso. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get the most from their Gaggia espresso machine!
