Nope. but with this book, easy to do. There are plenty of sheets of paper in a ton of colorful designs to choose from. There are two ways to use the pages. You can tear the page you like out of the book and follow the directions to whichever model you want to make. Or you can choose the model you want to make and find a page with that symbol at the top so that you can use the preprinted folding guidelines to make the folding easier. Either way, easy to follow instructions. They fly different ways depending on the model and they are nice to look at. At the end of 3 hours, my house was filled with 20 or so airplanes and he gave this product a happy smile review and took several with him to show his cousins. Nice product. Review: Peds OT approved for fine motor development - Love these! Kids get autonomy of picking out their spaceship design. The guided steps require some verbal cueing for kiddos developmentally younger than 10-12, but it is fun for everyone. My favorite place to yse them is in the school setting. Kids love coming to OT to work on fine motor development, then flying them down the stairs at the end of session. Downside is that the glue holding the pages in the book isn’t great, but I keep it in a ziplock bag now so the pages don’t get lost.

I bought this for a nine-year-old for Christmas and as soon as he opened it he wanted to start making the paper planes. They were easy enough that he didn't need much help and he really enjoyed the different types of aircraft.

Purchased as a little stocking filler, something a little different and they are such an unexpected hit. Lots of lovely designs and clear easy instructions. Great quality as always from Usborne. My eight year old son wants more of these books to make, hours of fun flying and competing.
