Visually it looks more like boring bit, but the result is the same as from other forstner bits I have. So, I don't know what other reviewers are complaining about. It does the job.

Great quality bit, I use it for cabinet hinges -35 mm fits most normal hinges. The cup depth is perfect and is a good indicator to depth of cut. Great value for money hand comes in a good storage case. Cut quickly through ¾ in birch ply.

Cut perfect holes for my face frame inset cabinet doors.

I was installing Euro cup style cabinet hinges in Home Depot birch plywood, which chips easily when holes are 3 mm from the door edge. Only had one minor chip out (drilling freehand). Sides were straight and bottoms were smooth
