I bought the KEMEI 2299 after my son’s barber recommended it, and I have to say—it’s a solid choice, especially at this price point. Great product. The blades are very sharp. I love it. The battery life lasts about a month plus. It’s extremely lightweight and has sufficient power.

I have two smaller trimmers that work very well. I also have a full-size barber set but wanted something in between the two. For the money, it is not a bad trimmer. It cuts pretty well, with occasional snags, and will nick you if you are not very careful. The blade finish is very rough on the end and bottom and does leave some scratches and irritation. My two smaller trimmers are a lot smoother and cut just as well without snagging or nicking. I am not sure if mine is the norm or an exception, but I think that quality control could be a little better when it comes to the cutting blade. This is a first experience testing and review and may change in the coming months of use. I will try to update if there are any notable changes to the cutting or operation, battery life, or charging issues. For the price, I can still recommend this trimmer, as many others have not had any of my issues.

Excellent, Zero gap

I see it as a good trimmer for the price, but you have to be very careful because it is very sharp and may cause skin cuts

Unfortunately, this trimmer is terrible. It barely trims/buzzes any hair off and only pulls hair of any size (1mm-10mm), creating a painful user experience. I have to go over the same spot 3-4 times to remove most of the hair, and it ends up pulling out more hair than it cuts. After 2 uses, I had to take out my old buzzer to finish off the job both times. If I could get a refund, I would. Something needs to change with this razor.

Right out of the box with no adjustments these absolutely hit! The blade is perfectly aligned and is as close to zero gapped as you could possibly get without cutting you. I'm sure they could cut you if you press too hard. The blade design is extremely flat with a long thin taper, they cut even closer than my zero gapped kemei 1949 trimmers. I used these to line up my beard and "shave" my head, they honestly cut closer than my Wahl balding clippers. They have a hum but are not very loud. The housing is plastic not metal like my 1949s so I'm sure they wouldn't take drops as well but they still seem solid and well built. Being cordless is really nice and they are extremely light weight. For the head shave they of course do not get as close as a blade or foil but they give absolutely the closest cut I've ever got from trimmers or clippers, again they are closer than my Wahl balding clipper. If you have ever blade shaved your head these leave would could be described as "next day stubble" or "sandpaper". Visually, you have a shaved head but by touch you can feel some stubble.
