Finally found live moss!!!
I love this so far and will be buying more. I want to use it for plants to help with maintaining consistent soil moisture and I wanted something that is living so I can maybe hopefully keep it growing to eventually not have to keep buying materials.

Smells Earthy & Natural
I’m not gonna pretend like I know anything about moss but, this stuff was dry and a literal brick, soaked it in some water and it looks and smells like live moss? I know the ad called it live moss a couple of times but it’s very green and pretty. Smells natural and earthy without chemicals. Being 50qts is questionable? It may even have the potential to grow? Like I said, I don’t know much about moss really. After it’s rehydrated, it’s fluffy and soft feeling. I really like the earthy smell it has, like it’s completely unbothered and freshly snatched from where it was growing. When I get it attached to the wood for my crested gecko, I’ll update the photos. It is a lovely green compared to the other sphagnum moss I had that was a reptile brand. The other brand looks dead and brown.

Dyed
the texture of this moss is awesome. It is clearly high quality. which is why it’s a shame it’s clearly dyed and not live. It’s clear it’s dyed because of visible strands which were over dyed and are deep blue-green instead of the most green of most strands.

Only good for short periods
Will work as a humidity retainer for enclosures and for good hiding places. There is a lot in one block but it mold super fast. That is the downside.

Good quality
This is a very nice quality moss. It expands into A LOT. Perfect for moss poles. My plants couldn’t be happier.
