Gold Toe Men's 656s Cotton Crew Athletic Socks, Multipairs

I first bought a pair of Gold Toe socks at Macy's on a trip to New York back in 1999! At the time I remember thinking they were the most comfortable things I'd ever put on my feet. Every time I've been back to the US, I've bought some more and have generally been more than happy with them. The last time I went back in 2019 they seemed to be a little different, and I wasn't as impressed. I've tried various socks from Amazon since then but never found a good replacement, so when I saw I could get some Gold Toe ones at a reasonable price, I thought I'd try them again. These look like they are back on form, so perhaps I was just unlucky with a batch the previous time. I think Gold Toe might just be the Carlsberg of socks!

This pack of socks is great but I do not like the faded colors and that specific set feels rough to me. Great brand in my experience in my sock journey. Gold toe is durable, thick, warm and moisture wicking as always but It was quite expensive when I thought about it. It is worth trying out if you have no other seller options and live out in the country. You won’t be disappointed unless you have a teenage boy who seems to be rough on his socks and end up with a hole in one pair or two. However, a adult skilled in laundry care and not much heavy activity will be able to depend on Gold toe sock collection. I can find it at better price elsewhere so I returned it.

Love these so ks, very robust and very thick.

I like how these stay up and we're a decent price on Amazon. But they are Not the same "High Quality" that GoldToe Socks have always been in the "past." Time will tell but I don't have a lot of faith compared to the gold toe socks in my sock drawer that I've had and used for years. Update weeks later: So far the bottom of these socks are definitely NOT made as THICK or of the Typical strong QUALITY I've come to expect of GoldToe Socks that were made prior to the Plandemic. And like I said only time would "tell," which it already has, as to whether or not these will actually last a long time. After wearing and washing a couple of times the foot bedding is "thin and stretched." I've never had this issue when buying Gold Toe socks in the past. What happened to ***Quality Control?*** But I feel for sure now that these are Not the the QUALITY that I have become accustomed to when I purchase The Gold Toe brand of socks. In the past when I purchased GoldToe Socks from the local mall, they were most definitely are made a heck of a lot better then these from Amazon unfortunately. And as others have also pointed out the Gold Toes on these Do NOT "Cover The length of the sock like GildToe Socks from the past." Even the Gold Toe socks that I bought 5 years ago are actually made with a Lot Better Quality Control then what is being Sold by the Gold Toe brand on Amazon.

It’s remarkable how poor quality these actually are. Socks I bought in June now all have holes in the bottom from wear in October! Whatever quality reputation Gold Toe has is clearly based on the past. These aren’t good enough, and really are worse than generic socks i bought in bulk at Costco. I’ll never bother buying these again.
