Just be aware: The product mentions including a software disc. It did not come with that disc, but it did come with flash drive that did not work correctly. When inserted into the PC, it says the drive needs to be formatted to F drive. Formatting the drive means it will erase the drives content, so therefore it defeats the purpose of putting anything on the drive. I'm assuming the drive had the software on it, so now there is no way to access the software.I did try to format the drive as the PC prompted to do so, just to see if it made a difference and it would not even let me do that as it said the flash drive may have been damaged. So make sure you have the disc when you order the product. I will try to update when the replacement is sent, hopefully with the disc. Without the software, the product is useless.

This is a neat set if you need to set up a security patrol system, and check people actually are making rounds. If you've never used one before, it can take time to set up, but they include a CD with the software, and with a bit of fiddling, it works well enough. You can place the checkpoints wherever you wish, without wiring. Reading works fast, so there is no waste of time waiting or repeatedly triggering a checkpoint. Everything seems solid enough it should last through heavy use.

Unfortunately, I ordered this thinking it was a flashlight...it's not. It took me a while to find out exactly what it is. But I did the research and from what I've learned, this is a really nice set up for a reasonable price. It's beautifully packaged, and it appears to be well made.
