This is a fantastic bell. It sounds very clearly and sustains for a second or two and is well-made from quality materials. It's probably double the price of other, similar bells, but the quality is well worth it. If you think about it, your bell is a piece of safety equipment. I only recently discovered just how important it is. I frequently have to ride along a shared footway leading to my local school and the railway station. It's quite wide and has a dividing line separating the footway from the cycleway. Most youngsters respect this and understand that bikes will be coming past them. But a few don't, and they are a danger to themselves and others. I had a cheap bell fitted to my bike and the spring had become rusty. One day it snapped and I was left without a bell: very dangerous. It is supplied in a fitted cardboard box containing: * the bell * two different length straps * a rubber strip to protect your handlebars and * a 2.5 mm Allen key There's a very useful video on YouTube (search for "ROCKBROS Classic Bike Bell Installation"). The bell, spring and striker are made of plated metal and look well made. In use, it's just fantastic and 100% reliable. It's very high pitched so will cut through any ambient noise. Highly recommended. UPDATE: I've just bought two more to fit to my wife's bike and my other bike. This is the bell by which all others are judged.

Only fitted it yesterday but so far it seems great best bell I have had easy mounting with a strong fitting great sound loud for its size and ring lasts a while very happy so far

Nice bell but the metal fixing band - of which there are only two sizes - are very sturdy and inflexible and very fiddly to fit. Using on my giant revolt advanced gravel bike. I nearly sent it back but tried first removing the bell part and jointing the interiors and just about did it. The big band was too big and I couldn’t tighten it sufficiently without stopping it making a sound, but the small band only juuuuuuust reached and was painful to get on. Got there in the end after an hour of frustration and hope to never have to touch it again. My handlebars aren’t round and as the band is very strong and inflexible it was just horrible to fit. But now it’s on it looks good and makes a nice sound to alert walkers and runners that I’m coming!

I took a punt on this bell, as it had lots of good reviews but was prepared for it to be awkward to install based on other reviews. It took me no more than 2 minutes to install. It comes with 2 length sizes of metal strips to fit small or large diameter handle bars, a rubber protection strip which you can cut to size (you put this on first), and an allen key. The metal strips have shaped ends - you just need to push one end of the metal strip into one of the shaped holes underneath the bell, then place the bell on the handle bar where you fixed the rubber strip, and then put the other end of the metal strip into the other shaped hole to form a loop. (Make sure the metal parts under the bell are aligned over the rubber strip as well as the little rubber feet, use the allen key to move the rubber feet into place if you need to.) Then simply tighten the screw on top of the bell with the allen key and it secures it firmly in place. If you over tighten it the ring goes a bit dull so just loosen the screw slightly and try it again (I found the bell was still very firmly in place when I tried to wiggle it). It has a high pitched, crisp, loud ring that resonates. It will be easy to use the striker even with my thick winter gloves on. It's much smaller but much louder than the previous bell standard bell I had with a plastic striker (which snapped off and is the reason I wanted an all metal one). It will be perfect for the busy parks, country lanes and residential areas I cycle through.

A bike bell must be LOUD! and have a nice clear tone and be easily rung This one ticks all those boxes It's small so fits near to thumb onto handlebars Yes, it's a bit fiddly to fit but well worth it Dinnae dither, gofurrit & buy one!

Very compact bell with a very clear ding that cuts through traffic. Mildly fiddly to attach but not too hard, certainly no need to remove grips etc as mentioned in other reviews. Da ist eine super Klingel! Laut, hell und weit hörbar! Dazu ist sie günstig und sieht noch super stylish aus. Habe bereits zwei Räder damit ausgestattet und schon im Freundeskreis weiter empfohlen. Ich finde, sie passt auch hervorragend zu alten Vintagerädern Montage erfolgt super mit dem mitgelieferten Material für verschiedene Durchmesser. Ich werde wahrscheinlich noch zwei Stück davon kaufen.
