C403 Aluminium Flight Travel Case L850xW295xH270mm, Storage for Telescopes, Tools, Musical and Photography Equipment

Excellent case - a good investment. Sturdy enough for my lightweight fragile items, which I can now safely carry solo in a single trip. I bought an “Iridescent Rainbow” bread knife from Amazon for use on the foam block - this worked perfectly. Initial disappointment that there is only one handle was subsequently (when I needed to transport some “This Way Up” items) replaced with relief that there is only one handle, as this ensures the case is always carried the same way up. Glad to see a flight case without the usual locks (which wouldn’t stop a toddler) - instead, padlock security. You’ll need to buy two of these separately, each with a locking bar of about 7mm maximum - I’ve included some close-up pics for detail on this (yes, I know my padlocks wouldn’t stop a toddler either!) but if you’d like more precise info then by all means ask a question. I’m really pleased with this purchase and also, a quick shout out to Allendale Stores, which has provided great service to me several times now.

I have bought a number of Roc cases before this one being the largest so far. They are well made but are not suitable for really heavy objects. This case is being used to house a Ryobi 18v Chainsaw which I have situated it so it is flat and not on its side when the case is moved using the handle. I did not use the large density foam block which came with the case as the chainsaw is not a practical shape to cut out so I used two pieces of left over foam one for each end. Roc cases in general I would prefer to see the foam with pull out squares so it is easy to shape the interior space. To sum up it does what I want it to do and protects the chainsaw from the elements when not being used.

Nice size case. Aluminium case fairls sturdy for its length. I have it for safe storage of my laser level tool inlusive telescopic stand multiple other levels and level equipment and all is absolutely stored safe in this case.

If you need a long case it's a good price and does a great job

Poor quality would not stand up to take it out the catch as you can see from the video the second picture shows what a flight case should look like the Roc case did not survive opening once when I spoke to the owner was so rude, told me as good as you won’t get a refund in my work I deal with many CEO alan wasn’t interested he refused to take back item he almost hung up the phone not what I would expect from a company that you buy a product from, I explained to Amazon and within 40 minutes miraculously the Roc company are now going refund which tells you if Amazon would not have written to them I would not have got a refund and be stuck with a faulty product my advice do not buy from a company that offers poor customer service I will be letting my 3000 subscribers know about this product as it is a company not to use I’m glad to evaluate this product so others will be aware of poor customer service and poor products quality not fit for purpose

Packed poorly by manufacture so if it survives transit you'll be lucky. Mine had fallen apart on arrival. Sent back for refund.

I'm in two minds about rating this. As a storage box for my son's telescope it's perfect. It's a bit tricky cutting the foam as it's a very deep block, but I knew that when I bought it. I would however be weary of using it as a flight case. The panels are made from thin board and it bends easily. The aluminium trim was dinted on delivery - packaging was just cardboard. Is it me, or does the photo seem to show a box that looks like it's aluminium all round. Well, it's not and the panels on mine are dark grey board! Storage: 4 stars. Flight Case: 3 stars.
