Works well.
Plugged it into 5V and it cooled quite well considering how much power it was drawing [8.5W 1.7A] when first plugged it, then dropped to 7.7W[1.54A] after 1 minute. I had no way of monitoring temperature under a thermal load, but considering its performance I suspect it might work well under a light thermal load.

It's not very flexible but it does what it's supposed to do
I am using this for some SBC overclocking, which is almost the perfect application, as the thermal mass this thing can handle isn't huge—but it's great for a tiny 1cm x 1cm chip!My normal heatsink + fan coolers could only keep it chilled down to 30-40°C, this cooler kept it at 20°C or so, and allowed some pretty high overclocking.Lab-grade coolers would do better at holding temperatures, or going to further extremes, but this works for just pulling heat off a small-ish surface. The fan is a little noisy but not horrible, and the USB cable's a foot or two long.

It works but don't expect miracle
Brought it as supplemental cooling to my already TEC cooled Astro camera but the camera by itself can't quite reach the cooling target I wanted on a hot summer night (camera have a 12v 3a tec 36w )Sticking this to the flat surface of the housing managed to knock the temp down by another 2c+But this is only 10w and not directly attached to the sensor like the one built into the camera so I guess this if pretty good. Maybe I will get 2 more

Does the Job
Works as expected. It will be nice if can get one made to be plug to USB outlet 110v

Basically instant cooling
I have a need to have better control over a heat-pump so with a 1/4W resistor for heat and this for cooling I can finally get the temperature differentials I need to fool it into working for me. This thing gets cool instantly and cold within less than a minute. In my 70 degree room in about 2 minutes I had a fairly steady just-below-freezing and around 100 degrees on the hot side. The only thing I'd change on the product is to have a quieter fan but I recognize its there for getting max airflow in the smallest package and helping with the temp differential. For that reason I put up with it. Now that I've played with this one I want to DIY some other things like a drink cooler or maybe even a solar powered way to keep this going and add a little cooling to clothing in the hot summer. Lots of options with such a small self contained unit that just needs 5v from a USB plug.

Will chill cold side below freezing
The media could not be loaded. I've attached a video showing this module dropping its cold side to 26° f within a minute and a half. It won't reach these temperatures with a load that's generating heat, but this indicates that the module is working as expected. The cold plate is connected by a smaller board that does not extend across the entire width of the heat sink. This is probably the actual thermoelectric device doing the cooling. The metal plate on the cold side seems to do a good job of maintaining an even temperature across its entire surface.I'm not sure how much more heat this will move than a standard heat sink with a good fan, but I'm hoping to use it for an application that requires temperatures below ambient.Recommended.
