My husband mounted these under the back end of our motor home. They keep it from scraping the cement when we drive it in and out of our sloped driveway.

The attachment bolts are way to short!!!
Just received the skid wheels last week and wondered what would I attach them to with one and a half inch long bolts. The half inch diameter of the bolts was correct but they need to be four inches long to attach to most cross braces for hitch mounting brackets. I had the four inch wheels mounted but blew one of them and decided to go with their big brother. They look to be of a better quality and certainly are more substantial in weight.

Breakable
Very poorly made for the description of use. First wet season they rusted. Seems to be more aluminum.. prior review of small stone they break this is VERY true. Weight bearing maximum as guide for under carriage is maximum 3000lbs max. Any sudden stop they shatter . Even if initial speed is 10 mph.

These skid wheels have saved our RV rear many times. We had to replace one, but considering the cost of the damage that would have been done, glad we have them. We have a 36 ft long RV and big ditches or bumps can really cause problems at any speed. I hope the price doesn't increase.

not drop forged as advertised! very thin casting 8th inch will shatter rolling over small stones.
The king pin and mounting plate hold up very well. The wheel itself is another story very weekimpact strength rolling over anything other than a smooth surface will blow these wheels apart the wheel itself shatters. very thin casting of the wheel not drop forged as claimed to be only good for light loads

The skid wheels are pretty much what they should be
The skid wheels are pretty much what they should be. The customer service is for crap. When I got back to them about the fact that the hardware should have included U bolts, I was told to reread the installation procedure. The brackets are supposed to be welded to the frame of the vehicle. Why bother showing the "correct" way of attaching to the trailer hitch if that is not the "correct" way to install. They were advertised as "bolt-on." I'm sorry, but bolt on and weld on are not the same. I am not a happy camper. PS, they don't even sell the U bolts needed. At $205 per set, they should have been included.
