Pain Relief Gel Ice Pack with Wrap for Hot and Cold Therapy: Microwavable, Flexible, Reusable (for Small Body Parts or Limbs)

This is great in so many ways. First, I have had other gel packs, and I have found them hard to put on and hold in place. This one has an elastic velcro band that allows you to make it tight enough to stay on while you work, or even eat. I use this for tennis elbow, and the club pro said best thing to do is use warmth before I play, then follow with cold after playing. This is PERFECT. I put the gel pack in the microwave for 40 sec [you have to check the strength of your microwave, then test it before burning yourself]. Here's another great thing: when you put the gel pack in the sleeve, it seals on the end, also with velcro. My last one did not have that, so the pack ended up burning my arm a little. This helps prevent that. When I am done with the warmth, before I leave for tennis, I put the pack in the freezer. When I get back 2 hours later, take it out, and use if for the cold application. 2 for 1. Also, have found both heat and cold stays longer with this pack. Another thing that impresses me with this Adalid is that I have gotten three personalized emails from Jonah, the president. That's awesome. Mostly, I was being thanked for choosing Adalid, but also got an update on the progress of the shipment. Actually, came sooner than Jonah suggested it would.One more little trick that I learned: it's not so easy to wrap this tight around the area below my elbow; if my wife helps, it's a piece of cake, but I discovered the easiest way to do it myself: remember that there is a good deal of stretch in the velcro strap, so I simply create the wrap by creating the circle BEFORE I put it on my arm; you can play with it until you get the right amount of tension. Then, simply put your arm through the circle you have created [it's like putting on an armband]. Because there is stretch, once you get it right, you will get a snug fit, without having to wrestle with it, trying to wrap it around your arm. I love this ice pack! I have major neck problems which cause pain and with this pack I can wrap it around my neck and still sit up to work while wearing it. Of course it is also amazing to wrap it around and lie down with it also. It stays close to the skin and is so much more effective. The covering in which the gel pack slides into is perfect. It allows the pack to be cold against your skin, but not so cold that it is unbearable. Some coverings are so thick that you can hardly feel the cold from the gel pack. The Velcro is strong and works great to give just the right fit around the body part that is in pain. This also works perfect around your arm, leg, or foot. I just ordered a 2nd one and I have recommended this to every one I know. It is well worth the price and you can't go wrong with this ice pack!

After further review, I love this product to relieve my endless PAIN that I suffer on a daily basis. Suffer from myopathy, stenosis, failed cervical fusion, ESI trauma in my lower back S1 and L3 L4 and also from Pudendal neuralgia. So yes this ice back is definitely engineered to fulfill my needs to Ice my neck area, the velcro works great. Will most definitely buy again from this merchant. Have back up blue ice that I got from my physical therapist. Highly highly reccommend this product if suffer from cervical, lumbar, knee pain, ankle pain....most anything that needs attention. I ordered 4 of these for facelift recovery but used only 2, alternating with the bi-lateral ice pack the doc provides. You certainly need 2 ice/gel packs to cover both sides of your face at the same time. In hindsight, the doc-provided ice pack would have worked fine.The ice/gel pack is good but not perfect. Pros: it comes with a wrap & elastic band AND it stays cold much longer than the pearl-type and elastic gel packs that I used on my eyes (but I do love them). Con: it freezes hard, meaning it is not flexible until it thaws somewhat. I ended up freezing them draped over frozen chickens to create a bit of a curve.The directions indicate to freeze and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or just leave it in the freezer). That doesn't make sense, but maybe that was my problem. I just froze it. If you should freeze and refrigerate, how much time for both?It certainly provides relieving cold therapy. I did not use it for heat therapy.

These hot/cold packs are exactly what I needed and are working perfectly for me. The reason I bought them is because my dog just had stem cell injections in her knees and hips and those joints have to be iced a couple of times a day for one week post injection and then have warm compresses multiple times a day for another 2-3 weeks. (Not exactly the target audience for the manufacturer, I'm sure). These packs stay extremely pliable whether warm or cold, which is great for use on the dog's knees. The pouches are extremely handy so you don't have to hassle with wrapping them in a towel or anything. They get cold quickly, so they can be used multiple times a day. If you need them for heat, they're very easy to microwave and stay warm a reasonable length of time. Overall, I have been exceptionally satisfied with the hot/cold packs.

I got this gel pack about 2 weeks ago. I have only used the cold option but it is great! It is much colder than any ice pack I have used and it stays cold for about 30 minutes.The cover is soft and not too thick. The Velcro band is pretty long. I am using it on my knees so it is plenty big. It is designed for smaller body parts but you could put it on your lower back and just not use the strap. I was hesitant to spend so much on an ice pack but it was worth the price. The company has also provided great customer service. They emailed me the day I received the product with a thank you note and some additional information about the product. That is a personal touch I have never heard of.
