PRODUCT OF ITALY
This GLUTEN-FREE penne pasta is USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC, glyphosate free, & d'lish! It's made with only 3 ingredients (organic brown rice flour, organic white rice flour & organic yellow lentil flour). This pasta has NO SODIUM & it's VERY low in sugar. There's a recipe on the back of the box that's yummy & easy to make.

This is now my preferred pasta.
I tried this on a whim, and I'm glad I did. The flavor is mild but good, and it sits more easily in my stomach than the wheat pasta I'd previously settled on.

good pasta with bad packaging
though I really like the product I wish the pasta was not loose in a cardboard box - seems unsanitary [often pops open when shipped].

SO happy to find this pasta for sale here ! I can't find it in stores near me. It's the perfect gluten free pasta! The combination of rice and lentil make the texture the best !!!

Gluten Free Pasta
I was a little frightened the first time I was asked to cater a wedding reception that was all gluten free, once I found out that I could order the gf pasta from Amazon I thought it might not be to bad after all. It cooked up like any other pasta except the water was a little murky and the pasta did have almost the same flavor. I was quite pleased as were the guests. On the down side would be the 12 oz packages (I would have liked it better in bulk) and the price was more than I would have spent. All in all, if approached again, I would place another order.

Best GF Penne Yet
Being that multiple members of my family are gluten-intolerant, I've tried most of the GF pastas out there. When I ran across Bionaturae Gluten Free Penne I wasn't sure what to expect. I was thrilled with the results! This GF pasta's texture and taste are very close to "the real thing". I made this GF penne with meatballs and red sauce for two of my non-gluten sensitive friends. They told me they couldn't tell the difference as long as there was sauce coating the pasta and they cleaned off their plates. The Pros are texture, taste and the fact that you don't have to rinse this ORGANIC GF pasta after cooking. The Cons are that the leftovers don't reheat very well and have a tendency to fall apart. Cooking tip: I've made this penne multiple times and while the packaging notes an 11 minutes cooking time - I always have to cook it a bit longer for it to be acceptably al dente. (I live at sea level.) Ultimately - I'm one happy camper with Bionaturae GF Penne, it's the best yet. I don't think their GF spaghetti is quite as satisfying though. Most likely the tube shape penne works better simply because it holds more sauce. I also used Bionaturae GF elbow pasta to make a cold pasta salad - it was OK but nothing like the "real thing". Still - the Bionaturae GF penne was a genuine find.

Almost as good as wheat pasta
Love this pasta. Found out a few years ago that I had a wheat allergy. Tried a few different pastas and this is the one I keep coming back to. It taste the same. In fact, when I have people over for dinner, no one knows it isn't regular pasta. The only thing is that it's a little softer than regular pasta. Having said that it doesn't fall apart if you reheat it, but it's not a great idea to make dishes ahead of time to cook later... For thanksgiving I made a big dish of Baked Mac and Cheese. When this is made fresh it's fine, but when I made it ahead of time to cook the next next day, the pasta was just too soft and it didn't taste right. This is one of e best that I've tried and since making food ahead of time isn't a usual concern, it's great for me.

New formula not as good as the old one.
Recently bionature changed the formula of this pasta from one that used potato starch, to one that used rice and lentils. The previous version was EXCELLENT. A fantastic gluten-free pasta that I would pay a premium for, and happily did at about $5/box. The new formula is unfortunately inferior and about the same price. Texture and taste are different. The new formula also gets slimy and needs to be rinsed after cooking, the previous version did not. Still the new formula is better than any store bought gluten-free brand, but not worth the price versus the previous formula.
