Easy to use unit
Came assembled. Two cutting heads came with which was NOT advertised. Nice to have the extra cutting head. Took me less than five minutes to remove the other cutting head, attach the extra roller wheel, align the cutting head, set the stop, and score my first wine bottle. Does a wonderful job. Love how solid the base is and there are no bolts to lose since the base has integrated bolts that stay with the base. It came with written instructions as well as a DVD which you can put in your player and watch a video on how to use this device. Also comes with a screwdriver to adjust the wheels and cutters with.I went for this one even though the price was higher. Since it is a version 2, they seem to have all the bugs worked out.

What are we doing wrong?
We just got this and have started trying to cut bottles. Weve had several that broke off away from the score line while submerging in the cold water etc. It's really frustrating. I feel like we're doing something wrong.

Garbage
I wish I could give it a zero. Waste of money. The instructions were not helpful at all. I googled tutorials for this exact model and watched the video here on Amazon and did everything correctly. It makes a line as if it’s scoring it but I guess it’s not deep enough because the 5 different bottles I tried, none of them so much as hairline cracked after doing the alternating heat/cold baths. I tried various bottles of shapes and thicknesses and none of them worked. The machine is very poorly designed and the screws are very hard to maneuver on the wheel mechanisms. Just very poorly designed and I’m guessing the cutting blade is not sharp enough. You can’t get any of the moveble parts to stay secure enough to etch a precise line either. Sadly, I waited too late to get my money back.

Good value
The cutting works as it should. There is a learning curve of course so before using your primary bottles, have a few expendable bottles to play with. Once you complete your cutting circles you need to stop. I used zip ties on the cutting line to focus the water on the cut for skinner bottles.

User Friendly & Good Quality
Worked like a charm, I am very happy with this cutter. The directions are easy to follow and the cutter platform is easy to add and remove rollers, cutters and stabilizer knob to get the right size for the bottle. It comes with everything including the screwdriver. After I'd cut my bottles clean up was easy, wet wipe and dry and put away for next use. =)

I can’t believe how easy it is
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been itching to start cutting glass bottles to make small planters or candle holders, but I couldn’t decide which cutter to get! I saw this one and read all the details and thought it would work well. And it does. I’m actually giddy about how easy this is, and kicking myself for waiting so long. The city I live in doesn’t recycle glass so it all goes in the trash. This is my way of avoiding contributing to the landfill, and make absolutely beautiful decor too! My friend saw my succulent planters yesterday and couldn’t believe that I made them myself! I’ve cut a wine bottle, a beer bottle, and a whiskey bottle. All worked so well. I’m pleased! I made a quick how-to video so you can see my process.
