NOMATIC Navigator Sling 6L - Crossbody Travel Sling Bag with Tech Organization - Everyday Carry

Excellent bag with a few flaws for certain use cases
First, an iPhone pro max does not fit in the outer “hidden” pocket. And no other pocket inside the bag can hold it “secured”. One of the open pockets is sized ok for it as long as it can be a dedicated pocket. The inside pockets should be elasticized tighter so items can’t fall out or shift around as much.I struggle with placement of pretty much all sling bags. This one is ok. They tend to want to sit on my neck when tight enough to be against my back (meaning little to no gap with the back of the bag largely touching my back). This one gets to a bit of a middle ground. The stabilizer strap is really good. Once I use it, comfort basically skyrockets for me.I wish it had equipment straps like the backpack version of this bag. Being able to attach an ultralight folding camp chair or tripod to the outside would make it very functional.Other aspects are exceedingly well thought out. I love that the iPad/electronics pocket is a separate externally accessed pocket. There is even a pass through for a power bank in the main pocket. Handles on two sides. Etc. I may try the 10L bigger brother. That one has room for a 14” laptop *and* a 13” iPad Pro. But it’s all in the main pocket and this 6L version was already feeling a bit big for what I wanted.I am not sure I am keeping it. But, I won’t nay say it. Good bag. Possibly not ideal for me. It almost makes me wish I had the smaller iPhone as fas access to that is one of the major points of a sling bag to me.

This Sling is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for
I own several nomatic products (40L travel bag, their first laptop bag, their original backpack and messenger bag) and this sling did not disappoint. The size of this sling is perfect for what I carry and then some. I thought about waiting for the 1L sling, but decided that the extra room would prove useful and it paid off for me.I think the only thing I sort of am not too hot about is the water bottle pouch at the bottom. It feels a bit sketchy when used. I rather use it as an extra outside pocket instead. Overall very satisfied.

Styling is great, sizing is just a hair smaller than suggested.
The styling and size of this backpack are great and nearly perfect. The sizing suggests it’ll fit a 13 inch computer though but it doesn’t. The bag is tapered around and the internals of the backpack opposite the zippers are padded and like webbed over and the bag doesn’t have any give. So a computer hangs out by like an inch. So close.

Quality sling bag with clear durability and subtle suggestion.
The media could not be loaded. Extremely durable and high-quality backpack, I would make a recommendation to the creators to suggest having a slightly more padded strap but there is no question about the backpack itself. It is extremely durable and flexible and retains its shape extremely well. I love the material and how sleek it looks. Another recommendation I would make to the creators of the backpack is to decrease the length of the strap. I also made an adjustment to the strap going around the clip, the way the clip sits on the strap it twists it and causes it to dig into my chest a little bit so I altered it so it wouldn’t do that.

Elegant functional design
I wanted an EDC sling pack without the standard, conspicuous, tactical look; something more streamlined and urban. This fits the bill. Looks like a solid commuter pack, but the versatility makes it useable. It’s expensive, but feel it is justified by the elegant and functional design. For those that carry, may need a loop panel to fit in the back compartment to give yourself some mount options. Otherwise for me it’s tight enough to not move around.Only knock is, I think they missed an opportunity on the bottle holder stow area to expand that a little, to be considered one more pocket. It is otherwise unusable (don’t think they intended it to be).

Great Everyday Sling
More room than I expected. I was looking for a way to not carry a back pack. I find they get heavy quickly. It was hard to find a sling that had a water bottle option. Great to go from walking to riding my cycle with. There was an additional unexpected benefit I'm able to CCW inside of the sling pack.Nomatic does a great job of making think tight and slim. I also use there Tech case for lap top and N switch accessories.

Good while it lasted, I guess
I purchased this through the Nomatic storefront on Amazon as the shipping alone to my location is $69.89 on the Nomatic website. The 6L sling is nice. It’s light. It stays to form, the padding is good and it was comfortable. There is a surprising amount of room on the inside that fits my 750ML A5 Membottle, an 11” iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard (just fits tightly), an 8.5” notebook and more. The bag itself is very well made, but the hardware is not. Unfortunately one side of the buckle broke after only one month. It is very thin plastic on the male side of the buckle. There is no way to easily replace both sides of the buckle as one side is well sewn into the shoulder strap. I have only used this to and from work in and out of a car. The return window closed after one month so I can not return it through Amazon. It broke after a couple of months. Contacting Nomatic directly so far has yielded no results to help fix it either on my own or through their means. I get the feeling they are avoiding the possibility of me taking advantage of their lifetime warranty stated on their website and I’m not keen on spending more money and the time to repair or replace the item. As I can no longer use it as sling for which I bought it, I give it only one star.1.5 year update: I replaced the buckle myself and was able to get functional again shortly after this review. I’ve used it daily for the last 17 months, but it’s now time to retire the Navigator Sling. Through the course of its lifetime ALL six zippers have broken and the stitching on two of the inside pockets have completely separated. So unfortunate as I really liked it while it lasted. Loved it. It was comfortable to wear for long periods and convenient to get to your stuff without taking it off. The outside material is bomb-proof and still in good shape, but it’s just not useable anymore without being able to zip it up securely and I’ve run out of desire to keep patching it up myself. Perhaps I just got a lemon? My wife’s Timbuk2 bag that was almost half the price has lasted 20+ years without any significant damage or wear.
