Works well for certain use cases
First of all this unit won't directly replace a pull cord because its the chicken vs the egg, the PIR sensor requires its own constant power to activate it (its own live and neutral are required) but most pull cords have live and switch live only. I ended up placing this unit near the actual light. A back box will need to be purchased separately. I connected the live brown cable from the light fitting to L1 and the neutral from the light fitting to neutral. I then connected live from the mains to L and neutral from the mains to the same neutral i.e. sharing the neutral. The unit fires up when it receives power and the light stays on for 2 mins. Then it turns off and comes back on when motion is detected. I was able to change the time delay easily. There is also a LUX setting so that it can turn on when it gets really dark, but I turned this off. All in all I am happy with it and it works well.

Easy to install and works with LED bulbs
Installed this sensor to add a light to a corridor at night. It has good range, sensitive to movement and works with LED bulbs - initially I had a 5W and now replaced it with a 3W. The day/night sensor works well and can be tuned to only switch on and off when it is dark (it also was possible to set it to come on/off during daylight). The timer is a bit tricky/tedious to set for the desired time as there are no markings to indicate how long it remains on other than knowing it is 30 (ish) seconds at one end and 40 mins at the other. It has been up for a couple of weeks and has worked flawlessly.Update... Two years on and it still works perfectly. Very happy.

Motion Detection Excellent but Lux Adjustment Poor
This unit was dead simple to wire up and fit to the ceiling in my kitchen. The motion detection is very sensitive and works really well, but the lux adjustment is poor and although it has a variable sensitivity control, it only seems to have two options in reality, that is, the lights either turn on no matter what the ambient light level in the room or else they come on when the ambient light level has dropped to a very low level. I spent quite some time trying to set the device to work at somewhere in between the two extremes, but I was unable to achieve that, so I have set the unit to operate at any ambient light level and just leave it turned off at the wall switch in the daytime.

Replaced Danlers Pir
Danlers was more expensive and all my merchant keeps. Took a chance with this, and very surprised how well it works. Customer likes the way it illuminates blue on motion. Will buy again when needed. 👍🏻

Has failed after 3 months
This seemed like a good product & the reviews read well so I decided to purchase. I'm an engineer & ex install sparkie so I know what I'm doing. The product worked fine for 3 months then has failed on. By this I mean the sensorswitch has failed and the output supply stays permanently on - the light will no longer time itself off. Resetting the power does nothing. Basically the switch has failed. It needs to be replaced. As it is less than a year old I would expect the option to return it & get a replacement for the faulty goods. There is no option for this. I shall be taking this up with Amazon customer services. I would NOT buy this product from this supplier again.
