In my line of work, I encounter numerous gadgets designed to simplify life. This set of smoke alarms falls into that category with a straightforward setup process. No fiddling with manuals or complex configurations. It's a refreshing change, especially when dealing with safety equipment. The interconnected nature is a significant plus, enhancing safety by alerting the entire household simultaneously. However, the non-replaceable battery is a double-edged sword. It's convenient, eliminating the need for frequent battery changes, but once it expires, the whole unit becomes redundant. The alarm's volume is more than adequate, ensuring alerts are heard throughout the house. The remote silencing feature is a thoughtful addition, though it's a tad inconvenient that it doesn't come with its own remote. Mounting it is a breeze, with no wiring hassles. Its adherence to European standards offers peace of mind regarding its reliability and quality.

My old smoke detectors starting going off willy nilly. So decided to purchase this set. Because they are linked to each other I feel this is the way to go.

I had been looking to replace 2 of my old Ionization smoke alarms, the one near the kitchen was constantly going off from toasting bread or cooking under the grill. This set of 3 WISUALARM smoke alarms became available for review, and work using an optical (photoelectric) sensor, so hopefully no false alarms.This wireless set of smoke alarms came nicely packed and ready go. These are Interconnected so I decided to test them together on the table before fitting them in their final positions. There is no setup to interconnect the 3 smoke alarms, so I just turned them on and introduced a little smoke to 1 of the alarms, immediately all 3 alarms sounded. Mounting didn't take long, I just had to fixed the back plates to the ceilings and clipped the smoke alarms in place.These smoke alarms have a CR123A lithium battery fitted each, so hopefully they should last the 10-year quoted battery life. The test/silence button can also be used to find the smoke alarm that had trigged the warning.Overall, this set of optical smoke alarms far less likely to produce false alarms when mounted near a kitchen. Being interconnected, may just give that little bit of extra time to evacuate the house in an emergency. These may be a little more expensive, but you can't put a cost on life!

Easy to install, sticky pad not very sticky so screws needed ( provided ) good and easy to follow instructions. Work as stated and interlinked as promised. would buy again if needed.

Decided on these as meant to work out if the box. Description says no need to read manual pre connected did not work. Spent hrs reading and going through manual following instructions but would not interconnect. No faith in these if there was a fire. Returned

There are three alarms in the pack. These are what you’d call ‘disposable’ alarms, as they have sealed batteries that cannot be replaced. But, as they claim that the batteries last for 10 years, it makes up for it.There is a plastic tab on the battery, which you need to remove before doing anything else. The instructions are pretty clear and it was easy to follow the linking process. It doesn’t matter which alarm you pick to be the master unit, but once I activated it, I linked the second alarm and the third one automatically linked itself. Easy.I tested each alarm individually and they all tested successfully, emitting a very good sound. I tested the alarms before installation, as I’m still undecided where best to put them. So far, I am impressed with the ease of setup and their operation. It’s a nice touch that when they are set off, any infra red remote will silence them. NOTE: They do not come with their own remote.In the pack you also get a handy template to mark/drill holes for installation - the back plate is screwed into the ceiling and the main alarm unit easily twists on and off. Two rawl plugs and screws are included per alarm, plus there is a sticky pad included for each as well.I truly hope I don’t hear them again, except when testing! I think the price is fair enough, at £59.99 for the set of three.

Had these installed for a week or so, the one at the top of the stairs, keeps going off due to being near the bathroom. I presume it’s being triggered by steam, however it’s supposed to be able to identify stream. It then sets the others off, which then sets the dog off.I’ve returned them and getting a nest one instead.
