Q: What additional work is required to install in a home to protect a library with no door?

I used lock screws so they can't be reversed and screwed them right into the wall very easy

Q: what hardware do you need to purchase to be able to install this?

What ever bolts or screws you plan using to attach the gate to the wall. I just large lag bolts and it works great. Also be away you need to be able to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the concrete for the gate to sit in.
