Refreshingly honest perspective on reality
This book is so honest, it is a pleasure to read. Joey does a wonderful job of describing the constant and unknowable nature of reality. It is so simple and yet we cause ourselves (and others) suffering when we grasp for understanding and evaluation of life. What was especially helpful to me was his description of the conceptualization of everything in a way that makes it obvious that this evaluating we do habitually doesn't change or improve anything. We can rest in our aliveness without having to understand anything- we can let go because it's not possible to figure this out. This is peace. Things are as they are and couldn't be different. We suffer when we believe we could be creating some better version of reality and are falling short. Resting in the midst of what actually is allows us to see the peace that is always here.Very helpful, insightful, and highly recommended!

PEACE IN PLAIN SIGHT
You will love this book if you are interested in the simplicity of living life as the nondual essence of everything as it is. I loved it because because of it's utter simplicity (everything as it is). The hidden meaning or deeper understanding that we all seek for and want is revealed to be obviously alive right here, not hidden and in no sense deeper or separate from what is, as it is.I like that Joey cuts through what other nondual teachers may inadvertently leave around for others to assign some meaning to. He gets to the bottom line (so to speak); no one to do anything, no heirarchy of meaning, no special state to get to, no one to understand, no one to transmit, no seeking for anything, and no one to seek, not clinging to any idea about anything. Total insecurity and naked living beyond belief and concept. He provides wonderful questions that make this simplicity of living quite apparent for any one interested. Peace and happiness right now and right here as the simplicity of everything as it is.

Little book, big impact!
I've read quite a few of Joey Lott's books and Peace Feels Like This is one, of a handful, that really changed my life. It is strait forward and easy to read but the impact is powerful. Through the book Joey helped me to question beliefs that I had had for years about peace and having problems. When I saw the truth a lot of my anxiety, struggle and seeking just fell away. I had been a spiritual seeker and self help book junkie for 25 years but this effect was different and more profound. My anxiety has never returned to what it was before but I re-read Peace Feels Like This when I get twisted up about something and it always offers relief.

Quick and insightful
This book is definitely traveling down a rabbit hole. However, peace is truly that. It is not predicated on some event or experience, it just is. If you are looking to surrender and just enjoy peace this is a good read.

A gem of a book
I really enjoyed this book! I'm not even sure how I stumbled upon this talented author, but there are no accidents I suppose, and when one is drawn to certain writings, then one may be ready. Not new to non-dual philosophy, having read many teachers both living and non-living, I found this little book to be refreshingly clear and easy to follow. Joey acknowledges and gently addresses conceptual stumbling blocks along the way, and invites the reader to take a look for themselves, to ascertain what is real vs. what is our story about reality. I highly recommend this little gem, and look forward to future works by Joey.

Peace
Joey's honesty and simplicity in his writing reflect what he relentlessly points to: the utter simplicity of this as it is, right now. Over the years I have made up so many excuses as to why this couldn't possibly be it (I wasn't spiritual enough, I needed more time to develop, I had to become a better meditator, etc.), but Joey's invitation to recognize what is already here is phrased in a way that has helped me finally stop my obsessive and impossible search for what has been ultimately an idea of “awakening." This book is clear and succinct, and Joey sincerely guides readers to the already present peace of what is. It is more clear and immediate than any words could express, which makes Joeys ability to use language to write about it quite a gift. I'm very grateful for this book and would highly recommend it.

Just this
If you are a newcomer to the idea of non-duality, this little book could be very challenging, for it will tend to upset completely your conceptual house of cards. If however you have already met up with non-duality, and resonated with it, you are likely to be refreshed and overjoyed by Joey Lott's comprehensive presentation. What is being pointed to here is not very amenable to expression by words. In fact, words, being conceptual, are the very basis of the "problem" of "lack of peace", and Joey makes no bones about this. Drop everything. "Just let go." But the irony is that Joey, like all other authors in this field, must nonetheless use words to convey his message. His message? No, not Joey's "message" ... there is no Joey, no message, "no findable division between the fictions of inner and outer." The reader, and there is no reader, is invited to return to childhood innocence and celebrate the paradox, mystery, and peace of "borderless aliveness". No war can threaten this peace, for that which we inherently are "welcomes everything". Joey Lott does his damnedest to make this clear.

Exceptional
Explains eastern philosophical concepts in a very understandable manner. I have struggled to understand ideas in Buddhist philosophy throughout my life but am now getting closer. Great.

Very clear pointes to what is
Once again Joey Lott has done it. Really clear pointes to the unavoidability of what is,down to earth way of communicating.

Good information that can change the way you live
Joey's honest and brilliant work is very helpful to those who got tired of this big self-help industry, and are willing to explore a new approach based on your own direct exploration of what is.Thanks Joey!

Beautifully and simply written in a direct style with no jargon or posing. Joey tells us that peace is free of control and intellectual concepts and is our natural state before we became conditioned to superimpose stuff and cling on to our likes and dislikes. It feels like a fusion of Advaita and Buddhism without the heritage baggage that sometimes comes with these type of books, and does not get bogged down with conceptualisation of what peace may or not be. It reads like a manual for clearing the mind and reconnecting with inner peace without the do's and dont's, must and must nots, ought to or ought not to. At the core of this book, it leads us to the question of what our reality is and he points out that this is not at all the one we are wedded to most of the time. It must be hard to write a book of this nature without claiming assumed wisdom, and Joey does this with admirable simplicity, getting right to the essence of inner peace without butting in, leading you to a personal understanding.

"drop all strategies"
He wrote "The key factor that allows for clarity of peace is the absence of any interpretation or any ascription of meaning or value"Simple, direct and straight.I like the way he explain unexplainable things.
