The clippers 'pulse' when i turn them on. How do i stop this?

Not noticed mine doing it. Maybe need to contact manufacturer.

How does the blade attach to the body? I'm fed up of the plastic clips on my current Philips model as they keep breaking

Hello Abigail The metal blade or cutter itself is permanently fixed to the trimmer itself and is not removable, although it does cut quite well. There is only one comb or clip that is supplied and this is adjusted by pressing a button on the comb itself to your desired hair length and setting. The only problem with this product is that the actual suction power is in my opinion not strong enough so only around 60% of your cut hairs would go into the actual vacuum chamber whilst the remaining 40% of your cut hairs would just fall on the floor and have to be swept up later, which can be quite annoying. Is it a three pin UK charger

Yes. it can only be recharged from a standard UK 3pin socket. It cannot be used or recharged from a two pin/bathroom shaver socket.
