This goes great with my recent laser level purchase. You can stand a good distance away from the level and still get an accurate reading.

I was reluctant to try this after reading the reviews about these not working well with the Takamine laser level. However some of those reviews seem to ignore the fact that you have to put the laser level in pulse mode. I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I set it up and moved around the site and it worked pretty well, in full sunlight, both facing toward, and away from the sun. Farthest distance probably 60'. As I moved around, I do occasionally have to reset by turning off the power and turning back on, but I've seen this with other receivers too.You've got to get to know your tool :-p.The instructions are not great, so play with it and you might find this set up is well worthwhile.

I ordered receiver at the same time I ordered the laser level. the laser worked great but the receive did not work. Amazon was very nice and replaced the receiver with a new receiver, but the replacement didn't either. Again, Amazon was great to refund the money, but I'm left looking for a receiver to use with my Takamine Laser level.

The media could not be loaded.  Amazing!This detected the laser in bright sunshine across my whole backyard and all the way on the other side of the alley. I got this in hopes that it would allow me to work during the day, and it proved that it certainly will.

Perhaps this is a quality control problem. I will try a competitor’s product that looks nearly identical.
