C4 Labs INVASION for Raspberry Pi 3, 2 and B+

This is definitely one of the most unique designs I have found on the internet.. well, more rather amazon. The INVASION (bothersome that it is "all caps" for whatever reason) is very well made and thought out being hands down the best looking Raspberry Pi case. It has an affordable sleek feel and look to it making it my top choice. It's not difficult to put together, and is very straight forward.It is more looks than utility though, so keep that in mind. If you are looking to buy this for clustering, stacking, or anything along these lines, I suggest looking at another C4 Labs product.Lastly I want to mention that C4 Labs has amazing customer support. I had to contact them over a minor issue (it's not even worth mentioning tbh) and they went above and beyond to solve it. They are an extremely kind group of people, and if you ever have a problem, I have a strong feeling they will sort it out appropriately and to your satisfaction. They care about the customer getting what they wanted and are receptive to your thoughts. Any company who acts as they do deserves business. I plan on buying from them again when I need anything they offer.

Seems to be very cooling friendly. It's a little bigger than I expected. The top of the unit is like a "hat" that can come off when you're working on the Pi.

I had purchased another C4 Case (Zebra Black Ice) which i thought was really great and well made. I was quite intrigued with the INVASION so I ordered one as soon as it was available. After it arrived and I started putting it together I found that the bottom four holes did not line up with the four screws that hold the top and bottom together. They were off by about the diameter of the screw, or a little more. I was really bummed, but I enlarged the bottom holes to allow the screws to hold things together. I used some large brass knurled 4-40 nuts in place of the supplied ones since the holes were larger. Not a clean solution really, but it works. I probably got the initial production run. Hopefully fixed by now.

The other products I have purchased from C4 Labs are good quality and have worked out fine. This case was not one of those good products. The case does not fit together properly, it seems to have chemical discoloration all over it, and the screws do not fit through the PI3 board holes (does fit the PI2). This might be a one off poorly made case, but it's useless as it does not fit together.

By the pictures it would seem that the top of the case is secured to the bottom but it is not and it simply "sits " on top with nothing to hold it on.I contacted C4 Labs and asked to return the case, to which they replied they would refund my money and send a shipping label but, they never sent the shipping label. I waited for a month and will probably just send it to goodwill and as I do have the time to keep emailing a customer service dept that won't do what they say they will do.Its a shame because except for the fault with the top ( Which may work fine for other ) the design of the case is pretty innovative. it just the designers are being let down by a shoddy CS dept.
