Works as intended although...
Before getting into this review, this comes with 3 trays, 2 black seed starting trays 36 cells each, 1 green larger tray to hold the 2 seed starting trays and a clear humidity dome. It felt a bit misleading because it is rather big, so make sure you have enough room for them! This works as intended to start seeds. I DID NOT USE THE INCLUDED PELLETS! I saw that some people were having problems starting seeds with the included pellets. Personally I would highly advise against using pellets to start seeds! Use a potting mix and sift out some of the bigger pieces to get nice fine soil to use to start your plants! My process was very simple and effective. I used a potting mix that was fine, literally right off the pallets from a local store. If you need to, sift the soil, I didn't have many large chunks of wood in mine so it worked fine.MOISTEN THE SOIL BEFORE PUTTING IT IN!!!If you make sure the soil is moist BEFORE putting the seeds in, you're creating a great environment to start gemination and preventing the seeds from shifting around too much for when you do your final top watering. The soil should feel like a damp sponge when you water it. Don't over water the soil!Put the soil into each tray and make sure to pack it a little bit, this will also help with having the soil not sink or shift too much when you add your final watering. After all the trays have been filled, put your seeds in to the appropriate depth.Afterwards top the trays with a little bit more moist soil, a quick water over and you're done! You have the option to use the included humidity dome, which I did, although make sure to let your trays air out every once in a while or else you'll have white mold growing, which I did and I would just pick it off and let the trays get air. This goes without saying, but, don't top water your seedlings! There's a reason there's a third tray included; bottom water the plants. Add enough water to cover the bottoms of the black trays and check back in about 30-40 minutes and dump/suck out any excess water. You can also check if your seedlings need any water by looking at the tops of their cells. If most of them look dried out, add more water to the bottom! One issue I have found was that some plants in the middles of the black trays would not get the water they needed and so I was forced to top water them, but, I was careful to not splash the water or have the water overflow into other cells.Another issue is the black trays' cells were extremely thin. I was a bit nervous transplanting some of my plants that I would break or damage the plastic. The holes at the bottom were just big enough for my pinky to go through so I would push the seedlings out and gently move them to their new pot. My hands are huge, so if you have smaller hands, chances are you might not find this to be too much of an issue as you can just push the seedlings from the cells with your finger/pinky.

Easy and good quality
Perfect for starting my seeds, just add water and they expand then easy to add seeds to, plants are growing great in them!

lovely greenhouse
the most perfect greenhouse i could ask for! the bottom is in two separate parts which is perfect if you need to remove it. the bottom holds water so there is no leakage, but the plants love the water at the bottom. the lid doesn’t stay on too well if it’s windy, but i have tape on it anyways just incase. every spot had a set of soil which was perfect. it was very easy to use and start up, the instructions were simple. i definitely recommend this for beginners or even senior gardeners!

Works but a bit lacking in construction
Great idea but falls short in some respects. The bottom tray is substantial and the tray that is the seed cells is okay. The clear cover is a bit flimsy and arrived partially crushed while there was no damage to the shipping box. While these are not expensive I am hoping they will be able to be used multiple times. Not so sure they will stand up to repeated use. The peat pellets were good and did their job for germination. I will see how the cell tray does when its time to pot things up.

Only 50% of pods expanded
I’ve purchased before and the size and design were great. This time was disappointed in the pods expanding as only half of them actually expanded and the rest are just lumps in bottom of the cell.I added top soil to them to make them useable for us. But it was just you at for something you expect it to work as advertised.

Inferior product
This was my first time using these after using another brand for many years. Never again! After watering the pods only about half of them expanded. I had to break them up and keep adding water. Even after expanding, the pods are too small. The clear dome is too low. A few of the seedings touched the top before it was time to remove the dome. When the seedlings were ready to transplant, it was nearly impossible to remove them without the dirt falling apart and exposing the roots of the seedlings. Most could not be replanted!!! I would never order these again or recommend to anyone.
