Push to Connect Fittings Disconnect Tong Tool for Removing Push-fit Pneumatic Fittings 1/4”, 5/16” (6mm, 8mm) Quick Connect Air Hose Fittings Removal Tool

For years i have been using a screwdriver or a pair of needle nosed pliers to disconnect lines with these fittings. It was always pretty much a wrestling match to disconnect the hose. I need to remove and replace one on an appliance and decided to see if anyone had a tool for it. I did a search on Amazon and found this one. I ordered it and when it arrived i tried it out on the job i needed to do. This tool worked Great - i disconnected the hose in no time - cleanly with no damage to the hose or fitting. Wish i had found this years ago. If you work with these press fittings and hoses for automotive or appliance use you really want to have this tool.

I bought both sizes and they worked great except when it's in an area that's very hard to get to. Squeezing the handles together to hold the tubing with one hand and trying to press down the plunger to release the tubing it's very difficult. Other than that works great speedy service and good quality.

It is a great tool for removing tubing from Alligator fittings. I gave it a 4 star only because it does not real well removing a plug or nozzle from an alligator fitting. I would highly recommend this. If you use the "U" shaped part one to press on the alligator clip the plug or nozzle comes out easily.

I have come to value this tool. I work on machines that have nylon air lines that are fitted into push lock fittings and these pliers really do help. I find that when I use them, the push lock ring is pushed in more evenly allowing the hose to release better so the barbs in the fitting don't bend out of place and rake the nylon or cause the hose to kink. Preventing further breakage certainly makes my job easier. The tool is pretty straight forward, select the size pliers, wipe off line, fit into jaws and use the tool separating the line from the fitting, clean tool and store. Pretty easy.

waste of money. they do not work. i am working with various size push to connect fittings such as Duo tight fittings for the homebrew industry. will not fit. so for these fittings this product will not work.

The media could not be loaded. These pliers do not work on anything less than a 1/2 airline if your going to be working on anything smaller than a 1/2 inch buy the smaller pair1st video is 3/8 airline 2nd is 1/2Well they won’t let me add a 2nd video

It did not make the job any easier, I'd say it makes it even more complicated. It couldn't handle a John Guest quick connect with a Sioux Chef Tubing (Menards)

I finished the job working on my classic car’s air suspension. I’m using an Accuair system with a VU4 manifold and needed to swap out the elbow fittings on the block.
