Joie Piggy Bacon Tray – Microwave Bacon Cooker with Grooved Design, BPA-Free, Pink

Lovely surprise to find my bacon cooked perfectly! Was skeptical about cooking bacon in the microwave, but three minutes was all it took to convert me to micro wave bacon. The dish is easy to clean although it is also dish washer proof. Great! :)

A really great item but if you're glass turntable is 10" or less it won't fit and won't turn. It's such a shame they don't do two sizes because the quality is excellent. I thought it would fit because it's only slightly more than 10" long but I didn't account for turning on the plate. You really need a larger microwave for this to work properly.

Good product for cooking small quantity of bacon with no mess. Easy to clean. Quick cook. Mine cooks too quick in the centre - probably due to my cheap microwave cooker.

I have now been using this little Piggy for a month and I have to say I'm pleased with it. After receiving several replies to my enquiry about how many rashers it can cook, I can safely say that it only holds three decent sized back bacon rashers unless you overlap them to get four in. I find that in my 1000W microwave, two and a half minutes each side cooks the rashers perfectly, producing a slightly crispy finish perfect for a toasted bacon sandwich. The lid contains all the splashes, and I have to say it's a great deal easier to clean than the bacon crisper I was previously using, as the raised bits are wider and curved with no sharp edges and, so far, the tray hasn't burned at all even though it does get very hot in use...wear your oven gloves! So far, so good!

Who hasn't faffed about with kitchen tissue and tea plates trying to microwave bacon. Burnt fingers, tissue stuck to bacon in a wet hot puddle of bacon dripping. The drainage channels in the base help with this and the bacon comes out moist not soaking wet. I dont like or want crispy bacon. 2m 30s did two thick pieces of bacon just right for me. The lid warped on first use. Only slightly so it's still usable, but you don't expect this from something designed to go in a microwave. The ends curved upward along its length by a few mm. This doesn't seem to have affected it's ability to cook more bacon (I had 6 rashers left - wasn't going to waste them). It hasn't warped further so one star off for being "in the middle" of expectations. It still cooks my bacon without faff and it's really easy to clean.

Loved this at first but as side grip handles too small got burn from placing fingers on the underside which is not insulated .
