Imagine a program which allows one mind to escape for a few hours into a world where friendship plays a key role in the way you think and the actions you take, you watch peoples lives and ambitions make or break their future, prepare to voyage into DAWSONS CREEK....For me, this program has made the inevitable process of becoming an adult easier and less daunting, the characters are written with such observation and detail, as you watch them clash with their dynamic lives and the choices they must unwillingly make today to shape tomorrow.Each character portrays an image which you can relate to, the show has definetly inspired me to follow my ambitions and dreams for my career in later life (partly due to Dawsons passion for the theatrical), this program has far greater significance and meaning behind it's vivid back drop and it's fresh young talent, we now live on a planet where humans crave and lust power and a place where prejudice and racial conlict is bordering on the edge of insanity, the faces that make up Dawsons Creek restore a little faith in humanity,the mature language and hospitality that is seen in the program should be recognised and taught to all.I will not tell you the story, you must venture on this journey yourself, you might even learn a little about your life and which road it is going on, I know I did..People of all ages should witness this spectacle, but if you are a teen, put it on your christmas list!

Bought this for my wife, who loved the show when it was first on. You certainly get plenty of entertainment for your money, although unfortunately there was a scratch on disk 6 of season 3, which meant 5-10 minutes were unwatchable. We only found this out after the online returns period (it took a while to get to disk 6 of season 3!), but Amazon sent out a whole new set straight away. Excellent customer service as usual.The only disappointment is the bland generic theme music used for the opening titles of the later seasons, because of rights issues apparently. But hey, only a minor thing. You can always have the CD nearby for some home-made dubbing :)

for everyone who is worried about buying this item after reading previous reviews of it skipping and jumping and being fuzzy, ignore them!admittidly there was a problem with version 1 of this set but sony has re-issued dawsons creek and all of version 1 has been recalled- amazon now only stock version 2 so while it is at this price i would snap it up!i have grown up with the creek and still love it now and was very impressed to see it for such a low price, i hadnt seen it for about 5 years but as soon as i recieved it and put on the first disc i was transported back to being 15 on a sunday morning laying on my bed watching it on channel 4, thinking god i wish i was joey!excellent box set for people who remember it and want to feel a little nostalgic or a perfect present to introduce someone to the creek! everyone can relate to someone which is what makes it so perfect!also, this box set does include the dawsons creek finale, so no need to buy that in addition to the box set.happy watching.

Excellent Dawson's Creek the complete series quick delivery seen it before

I just love Dawsons Creek, I started watching it about 10 years ago but missed quite a few. I brought this box set last week as I had started watching it again in full on channel 5 but they stopped showing it half way through so I just had a buy it, mainly to try and find out what was going to happen with Joey and Pacey.I think that its such a break from the real world watching this, I almost wish I lived there and still 10 years later I wish that Pacey would come knocking at my door.... anyway, its fab, I love it....I do agree with one of the other reviews, the package is not very good, the cd's are all overlapped, when mine arrived the cd's all fell out when I opened it, I know that there are 34 discs but its still a little poor... But don't let that put you off, its fab and a great price.

First of all I would like to point out that I am Dutch. Even though the specifics said this DVD didn't have subtitles in Dutch (which didn't bother me).... they do!It has English, French, German and Dutch subs, so that's a huge plus.It has every episode ever made, so I can't say much about that. If you loved watching Dawson and his friends when you were a teenager yourself.. it's still great to watch now that you've matured (I'm 25).I guess the only thing that is a minus for me is that there aren't really extra or special features. Sure, at least one episode per season has audio commentary, but there are no interviews or behind-the-scenes features.I bought it while it as on sale, so it is definitely worth the money, but I would not have bought it for the full price, not without special features.Ah, now to have breakfast and watch season 4...

I saw the box set in WHSmith a few weekends ago and thought nope that is too expensive, however much i loved DC it was a bit much £70! Got home and checked out the internet prices and saw £35, oh my god! Bargainous! The box set is fantastic, i'm now in my mid 20's and i watched this through my teens (and after!) and it was so good watching the episodes right from the beginning again. I had not seen the series since it was on tv the first time all those years ago and it was fantastic revisiting the series.I would recommend this box set to anyone and the finale still brings tears to my eyes however many times i watch it!BUY!!!

They graduated the same year as i did and i remembered being so excited when it would come on the first few seasons but after that i got too busy to keep up and now I'm so glad that i came across the entire series on here so i got to fall in love with Capeside all over again!

La serie en blu ray me gusta lo unico a destacar que pone que viene con subtitulos en ingles pero solo el audio por lo demas no hay problema lo unico que al envolverlo en papel vino un cacho de caratula roto pero sin importancia hubiera sido mejor meterlo en carton por lo demas contenta con la compra y el pecio .

Une production comme on aimerait en voir plus souvent au niveau du genre Teen Drama. Elle ne se contente pas de proposer des personnages adolescents qui parleront aux spectateurs adolescents, qui s’y sentiront liés grâce à un phénomène d’identification, elle se permet également de proposer une autre lecture possible envers des spectateurs adultes, attirés par les thèmes développés souvent complexes, comme l’adultère, l’homosexualité, les addictions, le racisme, la maladie ou la mort et demeurés tabous chez les autres programmes pour les jeunes, qui sont principalement axés sur la romance. Bien sûr, la romance a bien sa place dans la série, mais elle y est traitée avec intelligence et subtilité, s’imbriquant parfaitement avec les autres sujets, le tout amenant toujours une finalité nécessaire aux protagonistes, afin de les faire avancer dans leurs parcours, devenu initiatique et leur donnant les clés leur permettant de faire face aux nombreux problèmes auxquels ils sont confrontés.Le coffret est un import Anglais, il est en carton et contient les six saisons, avec six disques répartis dans chaque saison, sauf pour la première qui en comprend seulement quatre, ce qui amène à un total de 34 DVD. L’audio incorpore une Version Française et Anglaise, les sous-titres sont également disponibles en Français sur la totalité des six années produites. Le tout dans deux gros boitiers en plastique, le premier renfermant les trois premières saisons et le deuxième renfermant les trois dernières, ce qui n’est guère pratique pour attraper les disques, mais ces derniers tiennent solidement et le support est détachable du boitier, si l’on souhaite se dégager un peu d’espace, mis à part ce choix inesthétique, le reste est parfait et la qualité de la série l’emporte sur tout le reste.Trois adolescents de 15 ans, vivent tranquillement dans la petite ville de Capeside. Dawson et ses deux meilleurs amis, Joey et Pacey, se connaissent depuis qu’ils sont enfants. Leur vie est bouleversée par l’arrivée d’une nouvelle venue : Jen, fraichement débarquée de la ville de New York, elle vient emménager chez sa grand-mère afin de commencer une vie plus calme et sereine. Très vite, les relations personnelles à l’intérieur de la petite bande vont connaitre des bouleversements inédits, entrainant des amitiés, des histoires d’amour, des trahisons ainsi que des changements familiaux complexes, auxquels vont s’ajouter des drames de la vie quotidienne.Alors que la première saison sert de prélude pour les intrigues à venir et met en place les divers personnages, la deuxième saison propulse la série sur sa vitesse de croisière, avec l’arrivée de deux petits nouveaux, Andie et son frère Jack, qui vont modifier les relations au sein de la bande. Une nouvelle venue, Abby, va se rapprocher de Jen, ce qui va la confronter à ses failles et à ses peurs intérieures et va ricocher sur tout ce petit monde. Un départ va fortement impacter le show, celui du créateur Kevin WILLIAMSON, qui a lieu à la fin de la deuxième saison, il est remplacé par Greg BERLANTI, qui officie à partir de la troisième saison. Une variante a lieu dès le début, Pacey fait maintenant parti des prétendants pour conquérir Joey et se place en rival direct de Dawson, les problèmes psychologiques d’Andie sont abordés sans détour et la place de chacun dans sa propre famille est à reconsidérer sous un autre aspect. La quatrième saison permet au personnage principal d’entrer dans sa période adulte, il a muri et se met à fréquenter d’autres personnes, Andie fait face à son addiction, Jack et Jen se rapprochent et Joey et Dawson ont enfin la réponse sur leur devenir. La cinquième saison annonce des changements : Pacey devient plus mature et finit par trouver sa voie, Jack finit dans une fraternité étudiante et Jen déménage avec sa grand-mère à Boston. La sixième et ultime saison, verra la conclusion attendue pour chaque personnage, leur évolution est remarquable depuis le premier épisode. Mention spéciale pour Pacey, qui a évolué de vilain petit canard à un jeune homme déterminé, mature et accompli, autant dans sa vie personnelle que professionnelle, ainsi que pour Jen, qui est passé de jeune fille engluée dans ses débordements à une jeune femme altruiste et sachant se remettre en question. Le dernier épisode permet de brasser ce qui constitue l’essence de la série, toute l’équipe est réunie et chaque protagoniste en arrive à sa conclusion, où son destin est révélé, très réussi, il livre une fin douce-amère pour certains, tandis que tout se passe bien pour d’autres, à l’image du caractère réaliste de ce teen-drama, psychologiquement adulte.Seize ans après sa fin programmée à la télévision américaine, la série a-t-elle bien vieillie ? La réponse est oui. Grâce à la richesse de son écriture, la justesse des différents thèmes sociaux abordés et la qualité d’un casting qui a su s’immerger dans la psychologie de leurs rôles afin de les rendre humains et attachants, tout était réuni au bon moment. Reste un show qui se regarde toujours avec le même plaisir, finalement atypique dans sa façon de concevoir un parallèle entre le rêve et la réalité, afin de mieux répondre aux questions existentielles des personnages et par extension des spectateurs. Série culte et pertinente.
