Great so far
We had a previous whirlpool American dryer and it lasted for 16 years. So decided to get this as a replacement. We had the 32amp already in place. So far so good and it's a great dryer. Please note that the fitting service does not include wiring or fitting the vent so just get the delivery and pick up of old one service.

Still tuck with a new non-working dryer
Machine arrived in September and did not appear to be damaged. However, the location for it to be installed was not ready yet so ithe machine sat next to the location (within 2 meters) for about 3 months untill we could get someone to install it. Installation was no problem but when it was turned on, it made a horrible sound so we shut it off and called Amazon who told us to call a whirlpool mechanic to inspect the machine. We did so and were told it was dropped at some point either at the factory or shipping and had to be replaced. Amazon was no help and neither was Whirlpool. They both blame each other. I still have no dryer.

Best tumble dryer ever
I have to say that I didn't buy my tumble dryer from Amazon plus it is an older model but probably based on the same technology as the layout is very much the same. After years of wasting money on normal tumble dryers, I thought these machines looked a bit more industrial and well-built. That was at least 15 years ago. The downside is that it is big and won't fit under a worktop and mine needed a fused spur - the kind of thing you need for a cooker. Yes, it sucks up the electricity but these things dry in a fraction of the time it takes for your average dryer, so the costs are comparable. The most important thing is that in those 15 years (at least), this machine has never skipped a beat. I make sure the fluff filter is clean each use but it has never broken down. If you have the space and you need super-fast drying and reliability, this is one to look at.
