Very simple and reliable connection
I used the 8mm, 2-connector version to connect COB LED strips from Home Depot. The original Home Depot kit came with a power supply, a lot of wire, including a Y-connector, but by itself was not adequate for a fairly small under-cabinet lighting project, because it didn't provide a way to make connections over short spaces. One issue I had was that I needed to put some of the lights on the bottom of an under-cabinet radio (remember those?), and with the original kit alone it was impossible to do that neatly. With these connectors I was able to cut the original strips *and* the wiring, and make new connections anywhere I needed them. I was even able to cut the pins off the end of the COB strips and insert the short stub with the pins into one of these connectors to make a new male or female pin connector on the end of a wire. The original 20 AWG wire also fitted into the connector, so I didn't need to use the wire that came with the kit - I have that for a future project.I had no problems making the connections - I used needle-nose pliers, so had to come in at an angle, but it probably would have been fine if I'd used a smallish pair of regular flat-end pliers. Every connection worked first time, and I had no damage. It took me a while to figure out which of the many kits available on Amazon was the right one for my project, but I'm very happy with this choice.

If you need flexibility with LED strips, this is for tou
This set helped me design an LED strip light in a tight curved space. Super simple, squeeze with some needle nose plyers and itās set. Made my job really easy compared to the last time I tried, with wire and my soldering gun. Worked, but WAY too hard that way. Get these!

Nice lighting effect, but not perfectly easy to install
The light strips are easy enough to work with, but the connectors are unforgiving. The connectors damage easily when installing, and they damage the end of the light strip if you need to remove them. The connectors also do not always make good connections with the wires. The light strips are good, but the connectors are not quite as good.

Almost un-noticeable splices
These connectors are small and unobtrusive.Cut your strips at the desired splice-points, insert into connector - PAY ATTENTION TO POLARITY- then squeeze down on the metal strips using a pair of needle nose pliers- DONE! Yes it really is that easy.DO NOT REMOVE THE BACKING FROM THE ADHESIVE ON THE STRIP AS THAT WILL MAKE IT VERY CHALLENGING TO INSERT THE STRIP INTO THE CONNECTOR!!!!

For college kids and youtubers
I am a residential electrician. I have installed thousands of feet of tape light in all kinds places, from built-ins in mansions, to under cabinet lighting in spec houses, to display cases and shower niches. This tape light is by far the worst product. It may not even be specific to this manufacturer, it probably any color changing tape light. Color spots everywhere, bad connectors, remote that does not work properly. Went against my better judgement and agreed to install RGB tape for a customer and it cost me $2,000 in billing. Professionals should stay away, or charge triple, and be prepared to make return trips for warranty.

poor connection, esp in the 5 wire set
the connection is very poor and difficult to set up. if you screw up there is no way to reopen the connector to try again and you simply waste it. expensive for what you get as a well.

Converted an Old Fluorescent Tube Desk Lamp to LED, great success
I liked this product for its easy of use, notes on power consumption, choice of a good adhesive, and bright lights, should I say LED's. I had an articulated arm lamp that I had used for almost 60 years with fluor tubes in it. Since they are being phased out, and I have such an attachment to the lamp, I decided to convert it. Also a good mental exercise. Well, probably have twice as much light strip in it as needed, but it works great and I am very pleased.

Better than expected
Very convenient if you're not in a position to be soldering. Be careful when crimping down, the metal fasteners can bend if you're not careful and then it's difficult to straighten them afterwards.
