Less dangerous than hardware cloth
We have used this on a couple of different things. It works well to keep kittens out of house plants when zip tied into place without being dangerous to them or to humans trying to water or trim the plants. It was purchased to be attached to and fit in front of the litter sifting screen of a Snow+ box (not a recommended brand, wish they'd buy it back) and two MeoWant automatic self cleaning litter boxes (highly recommend the model with the yellow/gold trim, no experience with the models). This screen is plastic so it isn't dangerous to the cats or during installation. It does an excellent job of sifting out... smaller bits and pieces that should be sifted out.In each application I cut it so there weren't any pointy pieces sticking out along the edge. I used household scissors and zip ties.Since it is plastic I doubt it would prevent rodents or parrots from accessing whatever they were attracted to.Would purchase again.

Heavy Duty
This wire is not flimsy and seems to be good quality. It is easy to cut and is a good length. It is a big plus it is black since we are needing it to blend in for our project. We use it to keep rodents out from underneath a building and it seems to do the job. Would recommend.

Too strong!
The mesh is strong - in fact too strong that it was difficult for me to cut with regular scissors. Had to use strong garden scissors to cut. When used as fence it stood up pretty strong above the ground. THe height is also good enough to keep the little birdies out.

off label use -- Christmas garland
I watched a couple of videos on Instagram of women creating lush, gorgeous garlands for holiday decorating. The garlands were built on a frame of chicken wire! The idea is you can hide little hooks at both ends and perhaps in the middle and hang the chicken wire frame from the hooks. Then you attach long strands of fake foliage (ivy, holly, eucalyptus, whatever) and lights to get the basic structure and stick in picks or wire on smaller objects (fake magnolia leave, pine cones, flowers, ornaments, whatever) to fill it out and make it look like you want. Then you can stick in some real greenery here and there if you want to make it look more natural.By building the thing on the chicken wire, you don't have to try to fit the whole thing on your mantel or try to wire each piece together.I thought I'd try this green plastic chicken "wire" to build a garland. I thought the green would be less visible in a greenery garland. Now that I did it, I love the way the garland looks, but the green plastic was more difficult to hide than regular wire chicken wire would be. Still, it worked easily and was easy to cut with scissors. This comes in a long roll. I cut the length I needed and then cut it in half the long way to get the long strip you can see in the first picture. Because it is plastic, it is lightweight and easy to cut, but it doesn't bend to shape the way wire would. After playing around with it some, I ended up just folding the long piece in half the long way, to get a sort of tube shape about 4" wide and 5' or so long. I screwed two little cup hooks into the ends of the the plate rail in my dining room and hung the tube from it. Then I wired on four garlands of artificial Christmas greens (pine tufts and pinecones mostly) that have LED fairy lights. I stuck in picks of fake eucalyptus and holly. I used fake magnolia leaves to cover up whatever bits of green plastic I could see.It was pretty heavy once I got all that on there. The weight mad it flop outward in the middle and exposed a lot of the green plastic. So I added another cup hook in the middle and it was easy to slip the green chicken wire over the middle hook. That held it closer to the wall so the green plastic didn't show.I am very happy with it! For a first try, I think it looks pretty good.Making Christmas garlands is not what this product was designed for, but it works!

Durable
I got this to block off areas of the back porch/underneath from the dogs and kids. It's easy to use - I installed it was a staple gun. It's been holding up well, even to my dogs attempt of chewing it.
