This toy is fun to play with. It does change your voice but it is definitely a toy for children.

I bought this for my 5 year old son as a birthday gift, remembering how much fun I had as a child with my 'Yak Bak', recording my voice and playing it back with various distortions. Little man does not have a tablet, so I was excited to find a device similar to the one I enjoyed as a child. And it is cool. When he opened it, he played with it for an hour straight. Then he brought it to me because it stopped working. At first I thought, oh, it probably had old batteries in it from being in a warehouse, and bought some more batteries online (it takes three button cells). The new batteries came, I put them in (opening and closing the compartment with some difficulty) and hooray, the toy worked again! ...for another hour. Then I had a frustrated kid at my side again because it had already stopped working. Tried it out myself and yup - one hour of play rendered the batteries useless. At this point continuing to buy batteries for this thing would be more expensive than buying my child a fancy audio recorder, so it turned out to be a no-go for our family.

My son loves this! He thinks it is the best spy toy. It can get annoying to hear what he has recorded and plays it back in weird voices, but he thinks it is so funny. I like that it entertains him and didn't cost a lot.

This thing is simple but exactly what I was hoping for. I was looking for a vintage YAK BAK to show my kids how cool they were. This thing is exactly the same as a YakBak. Listening to your kids on repeat is not as fun as it sounds.

This is a fun gift for someone who likes to make silly voices or pretend to sleuth. Great addition to a drama studio toy box.

NOt the best quality but it reflects the price. On the other hand, if you are like us and just wanted something quick at the last minute and not too expensive, it is satisfactory. For young kids and a spy theme birthday party, it is a neat idea. The favorite voice disguise sounded like Alvin the Chipmunk...so the kids liked it. lol (I would not recommend for an adult or teen.)

This was purchased for my two sons for Christmas, as they love the spy x series on YouTube. They are in love with them! Great durability, easy to use controls and battery life that lasts! The downside, you're going to hear every single thing they can come up with at least 20 times in a row and it'll drive you absolutely nuts by the end of a day! Great purchase if you've got family with kids that you'd like to annoy :)

Battery died within 2 days and this item takes a ridiculous small circle battery, the batteries are worth more than the toy.

But somewhat static to the ear.
