My 6-year-old niece loved this! She is always wanting to do her hair but is too young for anything permanent. So, this gave her the independence to do her own hair in fun styles. Chalk didn’t do anything
Chalk didn’t apply much color, even on light hair. Tools with removable handle felt flimsy.

Bought has an "extra" Christmas gift. It is all my 4 year old talks about. It's great - wished they had more options for rhinestones but a very good introductory set to see if they are into hair gems and stuff.
