BEAUTIFUL SAD AND TRULY MOVING
An excellent and entertaining film based on true events which is convincingly acted. However, there is one small story detail that I have researched and which is at odds with the film. Stephen Ward's death may not have happened as it is portrayed . But research this for yourself. What you will uncover is chilling! Otherwise a great film! Also, Petshop Boys theme song well sung by a great 60's icon puts the seal of approval on it!

No English subtitles.
I was very disappointed to find that although this was advertised as having English subtitles, it doesn't, only Korean! I found it almost impossible to hear a lot of the dialogue, even with the sound up loud so needed subtitles. Ultimately it was very frustrating because I couldn't hear half of it. Beware if like me you don't have perfect hearing!

True Story
Its quite an old film now and has been remade recently by the BBC, but its an amazing story and John Hurt plays the part of Steven Ward wonderfully. A true story of how the establishment distorts justice, creates an escape goat and all to save the face of government.

No English subtitles - poor quality
this dvd is advertised as having English AND Korean subtitles. This is both in the Amazon page description and outside the DVD on the back cover. This is not true !!!!Products with a wrong description to be sold on the Amazon platform undermine consumer confidence .
