This is a very nice speed square. Numbers and lines are easy to read, and not so thick like others that you have almost a full 1/8 inch variable. It's not as lightweight as others, but it seems pretty durable which, for as often as I kinda "toss" mine down, that's a good thing. The rotating notch also by the way is a great size.

It's a basic carpenter's square. Works great and the numbers are highly legible and readable.8/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review is helpful.

I will admit, I don't know all the tricks for triangles, but this is a nice upgrade from the plastic version I have been using for years. Very handy tool to have around and this aluminum triangle should last the rest of my life!

Now that I'm not working any longer, I am trying to do a few projects in my home. I am not a carpenter in any respect, but I can tackle some simple projects. One of my recent tasks involves carpentry and this square will come in handy.This square is made of aluminum and is lightweight. I don't know about long term use, but right now, it looks and works great. I did some measurements using a more professional speed square a friend has and the measurements between the two were spot on.Also, being new to these squares, I didn't know the knob and pencil holder thingy is a thing! :-) Using a mechanical pencil with the lead out farther, I was able to draw the exact line I needed for cutting.All in all, for my limited use, this item works great and is reasonably priced.

I like the feature of this aluminum square with the sliding pencil point so you can draw a line along the edge of a board, but a couple of things throw me off:1. the minimum width is almost an inch as the slider doesn't go all the way down to zero.2. The marking are just too thick for accuracy. It would probably be ok for framing but I think it is too small for raft work.If it had smaller markings, it would've been great. I'll still use for marking boards but measured by a tape measure not the marking on the square.

Nice, lightweight square is accurate as far as I can tell, is easy to use due to it's low weight and is hard to lose due to it's bright color. I am very happy with it.
