Have bought quite a few of these. They were not bought for use as door stops however as they can be used for several other simple purposes. As a large scale collector of CDs and Vinyl it is important to keep the records and CDs upright. These make excellent bookends as they are large and heavy. They also have another use with HiFi which is stop the metal cases resonating and degrading the sound signal. I was dubious about this at first but at £4.00 hey it's worth a go. There was a noticeable enhancement in sound quality on some older and cheaper equipment, this was especially true on CD players.

Have bought 4 in total and would definitely buy more if I need too. Had a few weeks now and I find them great for holding doors open and one for prevention of door smacking into the cupboard. Holds doors well, I can still move them about with my foot if I need to adjust distance etc... Once door is against it doesn't move. Grand and heavy. Does the job well

One of the doors in my home has an annoying habit of banging against the wall, which over time has left a small dent in the plasterwork at the point where the door handle has made daily contact. I’m pleased to say that this doorstop immediately solved the problem. The doorstop is made of aluminium and has rubber rings around the outside and on the base. The rubber rings are a great feature, as they allow the door to make contact with the unit almost silently. I found the weight to be adequate for most conditions. It has been in place for a number of months and hasn’t moved an inch. I have tested the doorstop on two different types of surface: wooden flooring and bathroom tiles. In both instances, the rubber on the base of the doorstop gripped very well and didn’t allow any movement. I have not tested it on more challenging surfaces, such as carpet. Visually, the aluminium has a ‘dull’ finish, which is useful, as it allows the doorstep to blend into the background. Overall, it’s a well-built and well-designed doorstop, and comes at a reasonable price. Most importantly, it’s moveable, which gives it a distinct advantage over the alternatives which need to be screwed to the floor. If you live in a house where doors are susceptible to frequent opening and closing (due to children, drafts, etc.) I would recommend this is a good solution.

A nice and sturdy door stop. It is heavy enough to prop open the door but not so heavy that it breaks your foot when you try to move it. We're all happy with it at home.

Unlike the rubber wedge door stoppers used previously, these allow the doors to be partially moved when needed without completely removing. Easily moved with a little sideways pressure from your foot or the door itself. The rubber rings keep the door from getting marked as well as keeping any contact virtually silent. Despite their size, they are not that obtrusive. I was not sure if I would like them initially, but would now not go back to traditional wedges. These are so much easier to use, look good and are very well priced.

I am really surprised to see so many negative reviews for this product as my experience is completely positive. I bought one to stop our main front door being pushed right back into furniture, as we had a similar one for our bathroom door. This arrived the day after ordering, is nice and heavy and big enough to do the job, and the rubber rings protect both the door and the furniture. Most importantly it was a quarter of the price of the other one. Definitely recommend the product and seller

Needed this to prevent bathroom door handle touching a newly fitted walk in shower. This is ideal and works well.

These doorstops, overall, are nice enough. They feel good, look nice, and are a reasonable size. However, they aren’t quite heavy enough to work for doors with auto-close hinges (fire doors), which is why I purchased them - because they appeared to be substantial enough for the task. Also, if your doors are a light color (white), the rubber rings will leave visible marks on the door after a bit of time - but they aren’t too difficult to clean off.

If you need a very tall door stopper then this is a good one. It's tall and fairly heavy. It was delivered with a few dings on the top of it which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
