TSA Approved Non-Metal Nickel-Free Belt for Men with Hypoallergenic Buckles

When I opened the box I was surprised how wide the belt and buckle are: 1.5 inches for the belt itself and 2 inches wide for the large plastic buckle. The belt is also a noticeably thicker leather (about 1/8 inch) than a normal belt and has very sturdy looking double stitching down both edges. It does seem to fit through the belt loops of standard men's trousers, and has a nice leather texture. The length is very accurate as shown in the online ad. If you buy this, be prepared that you are going to get an impressively large belt for whatever length you choose when you open the package!

Buckle is great, but the belt itself is super cheap. Feels like It was made from dense cardboard.

Bought this to avoid having to take my belt off at airports. Buckle is strong plastic and does not set off security scanners.

The non-metallic buckle allows me to enter work through the X-ray machine without taking my belt off as before. Helpful in many regards and holds up my pants efficiently.

This belt was not as advertised. I bought this belt being an airline employee and the necessity to go through TSA multiple times a a day. I was flagged every time. When they pulled me aside and used the wand and the body scanners all picked up something in the buckle that made me take it off and send it back through more screening measures. As soon as I went back to my old belt that was easier to put back on and take off. Be cautious is what this True story is about.

Quality item. I have to go through the security gate at work up to 4 times a day, and I didn't want to take my belt off anymore just for that - pain in the ass. I have narrow hips and I need a belt on my jeans because of this. I tried the less expensive imitation leather belts, which were pretty good. The only problem is, they wear through at a physical job within a couple of months. Also, narrower belts just don't do it for me. I love the feel, shade of black, and the chunky metal-free buckle. I highly recommend this belt to anyone who has to deal with security gates/metal detectors, regardless of gender. I also like the elongated holes and buckle insert.

Buckle was good material, sturdy, did not set off metal detectors. Belt itself was made from some kind of composite blue material that had a plastic-like veneer colored to look like leather, but it was not leather. It started to split at about a month and completely gave out after about 6 months of daily (M-F) use. I would give the buckle 5 stars, but the belt itself lets this product way down. I have real leather belts that have lasted years that I still use, wish i could say the same for this. For now, just have to use a regular buckle and remove it each time i go through screening.
