Answer to attic storage
We've had the pull-down attic ladder/stairs since the house was built and the attic is pretty user friendly with headroom, lights, floor and relatively clean since we replaced the fiberglass with sprayed open cell foam. Anyways, numerous plastic tubs with decorations for every holiday are stored there. The whole thing is highly organized BUT lifting those tubs overhead was a devil, even for an avid weightlifter. This little hoist was the answer. We mounted it so the tubs would clear the steps and it worked perfectly the first time. We used a 50 inch long Christmas tree to put the tubs in, hooked it up and it worked. I thought that it would take two people, on up in the attic and one down, but one can operate it fairly easily. Five stars!

Solution for trimming St Bernard's nails.
Unorthodox use for an electric pulley but i have 2 large dogs that hate nail trims. I've tried grinding (low noise), filing and even that $200 box that says your dog will file its own nails trying to get the treat out of the drawer. None worked. It would take 3 people to hold them down to trim them. Thought i'd try a little unconventional approach. I bought this and a step in harness. Both dogs were a little wary but stepped into the harness with no issue. Surprisingly there was no struggling when i lifted them off the ground. Problem solved, nails trimmed with no issues. Pulley works beautifully and lifted my 165# St Bernard easily and smoothly.

Works Great
This product was hung in the attic to hoist the 3rd seat for our SUV ... Works just fine & I hope it likes mid western attic heat

Damaged out of box
I ordered this for my husband for Christmas. He has just opened to install and the fan is broken in half and fan cover is broken too. Cheap plastic broken in shipping I guess.

Not bad for $89
I've only used it a few times. Works as advertised. The manual is horrible English, and indicated 220V at 50Hz, but the data plate said 110V, at 60Hz. Works on 110V at 60Hz.The remote cord is 4.5' from the top of the unit, and the power cord is 2'. Would have given 5 stars, if the cords were longer.Someone else, mentioned the sticky tape on the wire spool. Yep, it's there, and an annoyance, fortunately only have to deal with this once. It's plenty fast. I only use it on double line pull mode only, just to slow it down. It doesn't have soft start, and I would not expect it on an $89 unit. So the load bounces when starting and stopping, worse on single line, and less on double line.I'm old and used these a lot in my early career, but I had forgotten how much a pain the tethered remote control is. If this one fails, I'll probably spend the extra cash and splurge for one with wireless remote control. Then I'll probably complain about not being able to find the remote.

Perfect for a home garage
Easy to install and use. Cord is not very long so an extension cord or close outlet is needed. I added channel steel and rollers to move it 30” left or right of center.

Easy to use
My hubby put it together and with the push of a button, my ability to move things opened up.
