Aquasana Replacement Tank for 10-Year, 1,000,000 Gallon Whole House Water Filter System

Not easy to install, received extra pipe parts that I didn't need. Wish the price was on the $80 range not 100's -- Don't recommend for a novice woman to install like me -- had to call the plumber for this one.

We have a community well that smells of rotten eggs and chlorine. This takes out the chunks and the smell!

I just replaced a 600,000 gallon model I had been using (2015-2021) with this new 1,000,000 gallon model.The inlet & outlet lined up fine. I reused the 1" <-> 3/4" adapter that was on the old unit.The only tool needed was a channel-lock pliers.I cleaned and lubed all the rubber parts using *food-grade* silicone. That's two on the filter unit itself (one in the inlet, one in the outlet), and two in the couplings.I had zero problems with the old unit for the 6 years I had it, so I'm hopeful this will be trouble-free for the next 10 years.

Did NOT come with new connector parts. The ones you thread into the filter.Called Aquasana, and they are sending (2) at no charge. It took a while for them to understand what I was asking for, which doesn't bode well for other calls. I've worked as a call center person for over 2 decades, and therefore have an ear for good/better/best/criminal support. I'd rank them good? I got what I needed after several rounds of explaining the issue, referring to the documentation (which they didn't seem to know how to find).They DO include a connector part so you can flush the new unit, but those are not for long term use.Given the cost for these, not including (2) parts that cost (at volume) less than 50 cents seems like a foolish way to save money.The quarterly monthly pre-filter changes are necessary. Last 300,000 gallon unit lasted about 3 years using city water in the San Francisco Bay area. Given it's a one person household, no where near the expected 300k gallon usage.
