Awesome wool wash!
TL;DR -- it got these pants clean just by soaking them! Great product & I definitely recommend it.I've gotten a lot of wool clothing over the past year and a half. Eucalan does an excellent job cleaning it, and keeping it soft and odor-resistant. It's easy to use-- add 1 teaspoon per gallon of lukewarm water (I usually use 1 tablespoon in a 3-gallon bucket). Gently squeeze the water through clothing, soak for 15+ minutes (I do half an hour), squeeze out the excess & lay clothes on a drying rack. Happily my washing machine has a "drain & spin" setting, so I use that instead of squeezing out the water by hand. The Eucalan is most effective if you DON'T rinse it out.I slopped a bunch of sludge-water on my pants while cleaning a plaster trap (see photo) but was confident that Eucalan could clean them. I didn't get around to washing them until a day later, but I still didn't bother pre-washing or rinsing out the stain first. I just used twice as much Eucalan, since it says to use more for heavily soiled items, and followed the directions above. The pants came out perfectly clean, just a few little specks left in the stitching which were only noticeable since I was looking closely.I personally prefer the lavender scent, but since I bought the unscented first, I've been using a bit of each, for each load.

Works well
This worked well at removing a bit of chocolate on a cashmere sweater. I also appreciate that there isn't an overpowering scent.

Great for wool or alpaca washing
This easily cleans wool sweaters, socks, etc without rinsing. It does not leave a residue in the clothes.

Works exactly as it should!
Washed several of my older wool blankets (including a vintage Hudson Bay's) with this product. Excellent results in all cases. I did add up to one ounce of liquid lanolin oil to the wash to recondition the wool and this worked perfectly. All blankets came out super soft and clean. Good stuff.
