A beautiful book, suitable for anyone's coffee table but also packed full of wonderful ideas for small spaces but which equally can be used in larger houses/spaces too! Fantastic floor plans and photographs supporting the very relaxed, easy to read informative text. A highly recommended purchase and read!

Everything you own you're gonna hafta maintain. To save time and expense i minimalize what i own and that gives more free time for living in what i own. Beauty is not large. Cute is beautiful and this book shows how to make style compensate for lack of space. You don't are if its small as long as it looks artsy like Emslie shows how to accomplish. Not sure I’d call most of the spaces in here ‘beautifully small’. Beautifully medium maybe. Or beautifully large in some cases. But I think the author and I have a very different idea of what actually constitutes a small home!

With so many gorgeous glossy home books and magazines out there, let alone masses on free Pinterest, Instagram and Houzz sites, a book really needs to shine at this price.This book was dull. The 'ideas' for small spaces lacked any inspiration. There were too many images of mattresses on floors on ladders up near the ceiling. The photos were bland and seemed to be from the same couple of apartments.The Ikea catalogue has better ideas and photos. And it's free.I sent this book back and was glad of the space it's departure created.

I live in a small Victorian two-up two-down house and found this book packed with tips for making a compact home beautiful while maximising space. After reading the book, I promptly planned to create a storage wall to lighten our living room, replace my bedroom door with a sliding door to reduce the floor space taken up by the door, strip out our old upstairs carpets to freshen up the upstairs, and remove the low ceiling in our living room to create storage on the exposed beams. It's rare I find so many solutions in so few pages.The book is beautifully illustrated. A small coffee-table-style book with many lovely photographs and design examples taken from all over Europe.

Beautifully Small and Small Space Style are the same book with different titles so that's the only caveat. That aside, the book offers many ideas with excellent photographs to illustrate the concepts.
