Kundalini Yoga for Health with Harmanjot

Very difficult for your knees.. I have the slightest of an issue with my right knee, kundalini is not something that should bother this, but you are seated on your feet for so long sometimes, it was very bad for my knee... Much better to do Maya Fiennes..

I have been doing kundalini yoga for five years and have a lot of DVDs in my collection with great teachers such as Maya Fiennes, Ana Brett and Anne Novak. Now Harmanjot Kaur is on the "great list" also. This DVD is slightly different because it's recorded outside in a beautiful garden and that was a nice change compared to the normal studio recordings (not to say studio recordings are bad).She has a nice voice and explains things in a good way and also describes what the different exercises will do for you. The music is soft and easy to listen to. So is this DVD for a new beginner just starting out kundalini yoga? I would say both yes and no. The kriyas (different yoga sets) are very long and many beginners would not have the strenght to complete them. To compare, I would say that the kriyas with Ana Brett and Maya Fiennes are easier for a beginner because they are shorter. But the thing with a long kriya is to do it over and over and build up (take a paus if needed) so you can do the whole kriya after some time without the paus.For a person with kundalini yoga experience this DVD is not that challenging but still not for the lazy one. So if you want a really good kundalini DVD, go for this. I also recommend the other teachers above. Best of luck with your training :-)

This dvd is very unpleasant she starts off making a horrible noise and it actually frightened me I had to switch it off immediately

I have many Kundalini Yoga DVD's and this one is exceptional. The instructor is clear and concise in her instruction and I found the practice calming and grounding. If you like Kundalini yoga don't miss this one, I highly recommend it.
